I made that caption on the spot, lol. But I am open to suggestions that might fit it anyway. The basic idea is a very dangerous looking forest, while keeping the "starting area" look.

Jared: This is very nice, but I can't remember the last time I saw a shot from you that wasn't a diagonal overworld shot with a lot of mountains or foliage.

 

You should check the quest screenshot thread more often, then. Plus, keep in mind that the tileset is still a WIP, so there's still a lot to be covered.

Anarchy_Balsac: I think I understand what you're going for here, but I'm having a real hard time picking up on the right perspective. To me it just sort of looks like a sandstorm, or abstract art.

Yeah it looks better in the actual game than in the still image.  It's supposed to be cloud mist, but the color is just off in the still image.

Joelmacool12: Nice use of the GBC set as well. I assume you meant for that one water tile to be darker than the rest?

The darker water tile is meant for diving.
