So this begs the first question: what do you think of this?

But on topic, I too am skeptical of community quests. I have seen many of them fail to launch and fizzle out quickly even if they do launch. There was something similar to this and the people involved never even got to picking what sort of tileset to use.

 

I am NOT saying to not do it. What I will say is don't leave it too open. Give people something to decide on and don't let discussions about this and that drag on forever because it will.

Anyway, we are completely aware that there have been previous attempts that failed. Hell, Duck contributed in most of these recent attempts, so I'm completely certain he knows this by now. I'm pretty sure we already discussed how we will go about choosing a tileset in the OP.

Since the general consensus seems interested in this project. I've made a Quest Project here.

Seriously though who's going to handle the master quest file? Unless something huge slipped under my radar, importing anything in ZC is a giant pain in the butt. If someone makes new tiles or combos for their shit one person would have to painstakingly put all of them into the main quest file.

All area themes, music, custom tiles/combos will be decided before development has begun.
