where is lvl6?

Go to Shakara forest, and find a whistle portal in there, and you should be in level 6. Most of the overworld layout is somewhat similar the original game.

Is this passageway one way? I can't go up the ladder. Also looking for the boss key in level 2.

 

Is there a shield anywhere? I haven't found one yet.

I've just downloaded it so I have played it yet but looking at the picture you've posted Spelunker, my guess is that you need Roc's Feather to get to the right side of the room. I'm so looking forward to playing this later today. I had a blast playing the original Shamanock.

So, I killed all the enemies on this screen, heard a secret sound, and nothing else happened:

Burn the bush that is indicated on the screen with the boss lock on the screen with no reward and a secret sound.

P.S: Nexas, there's a secret sound there because the door is permanently open after you kill the enemies,

That's really a problem in general with the Feather, it can be exploited in many hilarious ways. For one, I almost got the Fire Boomerang early, though it was prevented by a second hookshot area. XD

It's in the upper left corner of the map. You have to jump over the water to get there. There is a sign saying that there is nothing past that point.

 

Now looking for level 4.
