I disagree completely. Especially with EZGBZ. There's nothing worse than seeing  a billion different tree types in one screen. It can ruin the atmosphere dramatically and while there is variety on the screen, there will be no sense of variety with each area. That's why it's personally recommended to keep one tree type per area.

I don't think you understood.  I'm not saying use six different types of trees.  I'm saying use slightly different trees, like he did.  does every tree on your screen have leaves in the exact same place?  that's weird.
