I wrote a working portal script back in 2007, so there's that. No screen warps were involved.
Were you thinking of the NineLives mini-quest/demo by any chance? At least that's the one that I remember.
That is possible. I'm fairly confident it had some relatively simple custom graphics, and it included maybe two or three puzzle rooms. Might have been longer than that, it's been too long. It was pretty nifty though.

if(this_ffc->Data > 0){ portal_warp_delay--;}I use the text-only editor, with manual tags, as I have nothing but trouble with the WYSIWYG editor. (The fact that once you go to edit something, the tag format changes, is also a bloody pain.)
