Is it possible that the arrow and bow get randomized behind a gohma (like to 1-6 final treasure room) thus making the quest uncompletable?

I needed to pass on some dungeons so far because the gohma problem.

Having only white sword and no rings makes levels like 3-8 and such too hard to try again, so all I hope that I find the 2nd quest levels (thanks to this thread, I know now that the random secrets hide only tier 3/4/5 levels).

I was lucky to get ladder, candle and sword right in the beginning (ladder on first screen, I think), but if it gets randomized to, like, a later tier 3 or 4 level the next time I play, then it's over for me, yes? Kinda all levels heavily depend on the ladder...

What is that small red rupee that breaks in two when I use it and even uses a counter slot on the subscreen? Was that scripting? Also, the fact that there's a wand type item not in the wand slot, that was scripted, too?

What I really don't get is that I got a big blue quiver looking item with an infinite sign over it, yet the counter didn't show that I would have infinite arrows (no bow or arrow yet), then I got the red edition of the same item... Still no infinite "A" sign. Why is the infinite sign on the item, if it doesn't provide infinite arrows? And if it does, then why do I need a better version of it, what is better than infinite? But anyway, why are quiver upgrades, if the arrow expansions are separate items? I really don't get this whole usables thing...

Anyway, it's one of the greatest quests, if I could bring only one to a small island, this quest would be it!

The infinite quivers and such make you slowly replenish arrows/bombs/whatever over time.

The red rupee was scripting. It's really nice, it's pretty hard to use but it does damage to things you wouldn't think it would, like darknuts through their shield.

Follow up to my previous question:  After I (spoiler), where am I supposed to go?  I explored the whole place and didn't find anything of much significance.

I've only found one piece of the Triforce so far, and I feel like I've finished over 2/3 of the dungeons to explore. I've also found some dungeons whose layout looks like the Flute and has a Digdogger as a boss but no flute as a treasure, and a dungeon laid out like the bow & arrow and has a Gohma not even as the dungeon boss, but must be killed to progress. I did find the arrow under a grave though.

Very, very interesting quest, this.

I'm stuck in level 4-7, can't seem to figure out how to to get in these last 5 rooms on the right/lower right.

I've looked everywhere with the lens, no luck.

I think the left double column's upper right room is what has the warp there, probably you need to push a block or the warp is already there... I know I warped (stairwayed) to the bottom right area from there, from the upper left quarter.

I completed that level just today and boy, did I hate it!

On the plus side, I found the blue ring an hour ago.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

And I still haven't found the blue ring either. Gonna be tough going if I don't find it soon.

Mostly free money, though there is one odd item that you can find there, doesn't count towards your item total.

Assuming you're using the default randomization, best to go through all the early levels (x-1 and x-2's for example), as most of the key items can be found there.  Sometimes you'll need to go into x-3's, maybe x-4's.  After that, usually it's more upgrades assuming you have the base parts.  Also really explore outside to find all the free items scattered around.  Various playthroughs have yielded various items like feather, ladder, flute, rings, bracelet, candle, etc

From the upper left corner, go one space right and push blocks there to find stairs.  Make sure to bring some bait with you as you have shown.

Just using the picture below for reference.  What does the square scroll do (the red one on the right side of the accessory inventory box)?

^ That is the default Super Quake scroll.

If you want to see what all the items and scrolls are and do, open up ZQuest, start a new quest, and go right into the Item Editor. Looks like everything is the default, though with a few new Level 2 items, like the wand L2 and Cane of Byrna L2.

Where is the hidden item in 5-4 (Pendant)?

I walked around in circles several times...

I have red ring and L4 sword by now, but still no bow&arrow... I don't even know which is worse, if those are behind gohmas or I simply missed them in some hard level. I know I wasn't experimenting much in 6-trap rooms in the beginning, but later I found a level that had a hidden item exactly in one of them...

I feel like the trick is to find all the dungeons first. The problem, often enough, isn't that we can't navigate a single dungeon effectively, only because we can't find that one item that we need to progress. For the longest time, it was the bow & arrows to kill Gohmas, the Whistle to ... uh ... split, I guess, Digdoggers, and the 4-way ladder to navigate a few troublesome spots in the later 3/4ths of the game.

There are a few places that have two different dungeons on the same screen. The normal location for level 2, for example. There are also those areas that don't seem to have a bush to burn or cave to bomb that you have to use the whistle on to create a dungeon entrance.

Yeah, I think all of the required items will either be within the Overworld, Quest 1 & 2 Levels 1-6 and Quests 3, 4 and 5 Levels 1-3 if I recall correctly. No item should make this impossible to complete. I've done multiple runs and have yet to get permastuck.

Odds are if you're missing something after doing most of those levels, it's probably on the overworld.

Required items shouldn't appear behind a boss that needs that item as well. One exception to this rule is 4-2 Whistle where there's a Digdogger early on, but it's not needed to access the item room which can hold the Whistle item.

Anyhow for those needing assistance. I posted some things in Eppy's LP topic regarding this quest. There's a checklist of how many items are in each dungeon (The items behind the boss are counted), expansions within dungeons (i.e Bomb Bags, Quivers, Magic Containers) and pictures of all the Quest 3 through 5 dungeon locations on the overworld.

Here's the link to Eppy's topic. Scroll down towards the bottom for the Randomizer stuff. http://www.purezc.ne...ic=58855&page=8

I'm stuck in these dungeons, can't seem to get in the upper right in 4-4 and the uppper left in 4-8.

Also can't find the blue or red mail (ring). Are these in the dungeons or somewhere in the overworld?
