Just curious,
Why wasn't this submitted to the tutorial forum and would you mind if I moved it there?
This is something very awesome I'd like in there.

I didn't submit it there because I didn't think it would fit in well because it's all based on opinions and also because in the tutorial section, folks can't give feedback. I've gotten plenty of feedback now, so by all means go ahead.

Well, yea you can give feedback there. And any tutorial can be placed there, except the scripting ones. (Different forum for those)
There is a discussion thread after all.
So, go ahead and submit this to there for me since you have all the work.

Done! I somehow didn't see the discussion thread.
Also I figure I should let you know that the BBCode helper thing has the Link Name code as blank (right under the staff warning one). I had to wipe the dust off LostInHyru1e's tutorial to find out how to use it.

It's a very good analysis, but I don't know that following this method encourages creativity.
You kind of have to see past the procedure to imagine something new.
However this is a good tool for assessing how your screen design is working after the fact,
to see if changes need to be made.

Creativity is something that I can't apply any form of instruction to. That's up to the questmaker. I'm not telling you how to finish your screens, only how to start them.

Good tutorial, I may apply that to my screens later.
I would like to point out, when Poke divided the screen into a grid of 9 squares, that he was applying an important rule in design: The rule of thirds. In my opinion, every questmaker should take this rule into account.

It didn't occur to me while writing it, but yes that's also an important rule in art and that's probably where my mind picked it up.
