They're all good, but I voted for Nuvo; It's difficult to pull off things with only 2 colors O.o.

Pabru - 8/10
All the fine trimmings of a winter screenshot. Other than the gross size differences between two tree types, I love the rest of it. The road was put together nicely, adding hints of subtlety to it where the snow covers it.
Dawnlight - 7/10
It signifies a critical point for an overworld screen very well.
Twilight_Knight - 6/10
I suppose it works well for a title screen, but I can't see myself choosing it over most overworld or dungeon screenshots.
Nuvo - 7/10
Black and white (or shades of one color) sure makes you focus more on non-color details. They look pretty good. It's rare to see trees that actually have the right proportions (leaves vs. trunk) in Zelda Classic, so I like that about them. However, relative to the building, them seem to be too small. I would love to see what a bigger version of those trees look like. As simple as they are, the ground details look like they are done right, and that is what matters more than anything.
Vote goes to Pabru.

I know nobody really likes a titlescreen over some very good overworld or dungeon screens, I just wanted to show it changed this way. And, if I didn't submit, Dawnlight wouldn't have helped me at improving it.

I submitted a cutscene screenshot for next week I wonder if that'll do any better than your title screenshot.

Pabru:
Very good; you almost won my vote this week. However, you're mostly riding on Linkus' awesome tilemaking skills with the DoR winter tiles; this screen doesn't do anything new or different. Also, no subscreen.
Dawnlight:
True, the competition is good this week, but I still think you pulled a win. This is just a solid shot that looks quite playable, with good elements that mesh well together. Gets my vote.
Twilight_Knight:
Title screens are well and good, but I think we're past the days of tile-by-tile fixed width lettering. You should make a more compelling logo and rip the whole thing into ZQuest. Even a unique font is enough to make it interesting, like the "DX" letters on the upper right.
Nuvo:
Your two-color entries are slowly getting better, but I'd like to see either sprites or a subscreen before voting for it. I'm sure you'll get there soon.

Long time since I've voted. But let's see...
Twilight Knight: I like the background of the title shot, but I think that more originality would really help the quest to stand out. Everybody uses that Zelda logo - it's a nice one, but I've seen it so many times that I feel like I'm just seeing ALttP over and over. Radien also beat me to the punch in that you should try a subtitle that doesn't use the "one tile per letter" scheme. That's actually not so hard - if you don't want to design the font yourself, just take a screenshot of your title in the font you want to use, then rip it into ZQ and recolor, adding shading and anything else as needed. I do like the bottom half of the background, though.
Dawnlight: You came in third overall for me. It's a nice shot, but it doesn't do much for me. I like some of the little touches, like the clouds and the pieces of land poking out from the mountains into the water. But I don't care for the rock/barrier tiles. A small quibble I have is the bottom of the waterfall - the ripples are fine directly underneath the waterfall, but it looks weird squared-off like that in the corners. That's not entirely your fault since there are no tiles designed to fix that, but I'd be impressed if you came up with a solution. Beyond that, the colors are just a bit too deep for my tastes.
Pabru: You were a very close second place. Maybe I just haven't been exposed to the DoR tileset enough to be tired of it yet, but the shot here looks very aesthetically pleasing. I also like how the heart container is actually out in the open. Too often, heart containers are hidden away, placed in an area of the screen that's inaccessable to the player without coming in from another direction or using an item. It's refreshing to see one on the screen that's featured prominently, as a reward. I also simply really like the winter tiles and palette.
Nuvo: You get my vote. It's a very original take on a classic overworld screenshot. But I also like the little touches - everything has shadows, the water reflects what's on the surface, etc. The water seems to have waves in it - does that animate? I guess my one criticism would be the inconsitent use of shadows - the sun casts shadows directly down for trees, and to the left for the shack. But that's negligible compared to everything else you've done, and so you get my vote. =)

That's already done, Dawnlight gave me better sprites.
And no, I'm not gonna change the title graphics. CastChaos used them when he started BB 3 years ago, when that title graphic was all new and stuff. Changing the title graphics is quite the same as changed the tileset, and that is not what I'm gonna do.

I don't think any user has entered 3 times in a row.
I think a number of people have, and one probably has won 3 times in row. If I recall correctly, that person started to get quite an unhealthy ego about it. See that none of you do the same.

Good to hear about the first part.
About the second part: I'd do differently, but it's your prerogative, so do as you please.

Pabru
This is an aesthetically pleasing shot with good design, save the potential problem with the plant in the top-left corner. The scene isn't anything super-dramatically new or different, but it does its job, and well at that.
Dawnlight
Graphically, this shot isn't anything impressive until one looks at the very pretty subscreen. Not bad.
Twilight_Knight
The title screen looks a bit cheesy, perhaps because of the general monochromatism of the text and the clashing "DX" text. Sorry, I'm just not a big fan.
Nuvo
This is actually a very nice shot. The graphics are clear and detailed without cluttering the screen. Some would mark down for the black-and-white approach, but I feel it really adds to the style and you pull it off beautifully.
I vote for Nuvo this time around; honorable mention to Pabru. Good shots you guys; thanks.

Still no sprites, but I do have a new seaside-type shack... that took me like, and hour to make.
Congratulation Nuvo! Good shot!!
