Perhaps it's just a human error on their part? Nobody's perfect you know.

I should really try to cook something up for 221... Hmm...

Also, gray0x, wow. Practically your first day unbanned and you endanger yourself again? Don't get yourself banned, man, we love you here... icon_frown.gif

Well, I didn't receive it. So you perhaps forgot to send it to me. Sorry, please make sure you send your shot to both of us.

Anyways, if anyone is curious, that Pine tree isn't from Relic. I actually made that myself, but based it off his tree. Just thought I should point that out.

You said you only sent it to Shoelace. It needs to be sent to both Shoelace and /M/.

I decided to go with gray0x this week.

I voted for /M/. I enjoyed this shot. Good trees, and I like the palette. gray0x was a very close second. Nice setup. Good tile usage, enjoyable screen. Popuri, I think your shot needs a little more variety.

Wow... /M/'s shot and gray0x's shots were great... but out of the two I liked gray0x's best. All I can say is gray0x, awesome job. icon_razz.gif

Popuri's was also pretty good. icon_razz.gif

My vote to /M/, however Gray0x was just neck in neck with him. My main problem with Gray's shot is the little puddle. Little puddles probably, without a doubt, do NOT have seashore waves in it. You should also make the water kind of fade from the translucent to an opaque as it goes further out.

Popuri, add a little bit of dirt to your shot so the sheet of green your shot displays is broken up.

TMS, just to let you know, I did get your Screen. However, I guess you didn't send it to /M/ also. We alternate SotWs. It says to in the guidelines, to send your shots to all managers. And the two managers right now are me and /M/. Sorry for the confusion but I will be adding your shot to next week's SotW as it is my week next week.

My hypothesis is complete and the results are that without a custom "good" graphical subscreen, you won't have a winning chance in the brutal SotW.

And then theres screen layout.

Good shots guys.

I voted for /M/. His screenie looks like a Hyrule Fantasy Shot.

gray - Everything is good but the water looks very symmetrical if you look at it in an angle.

Popuri - Work on your usage of trees and those leaves do get repetitive.

And then there's 2.10... your hypothesis is more of an opinion, my friend.

I've won 3 times just cutting off the subscreen. icon_wink.gif

Bull****. The trunks may not be mine (And at this point, I'm stressing MIGHT), but those treetops are. They are EXACTLY the same as the ones I have in HF, pixel-to-pixel. And that's not all. The rounded corners to the grass tiles, mine. The bricks? Mine. Hell, even the little swirly-growth-things are mine. Maybe you didn't rip them, but they are exactly the same as the ones I made for Hyrule Fantasy

Now, I admit my memory isn't great when it comes to this, but I'm fairly certain I've never given anyone permission to use tiles from HF, except for maybe a couple exceptions. And I know those tiles aren't in any of the sets I've released, unless I've really lost it

/M/, for the love of God, PLEASE forward any PMs I might have sent you that say you can use those tiles. I'd much rather look like a fool for getting pissed at you, only to be proven wrong than find out you've stolen my tiles

I'll admit the trunks look ripped, but the treetops were released with something somewhere, as I know I used a version of them in an old quest. The swirly grass came out of the Sun Tower set though, as maybe the bricks did.

I nulled as the only interesting shot is a clear rip off of someone else's work, and nothing really new in it.

You might want to speak to Freedom as well. He's got them in the Adventure Tileset, I'm certain; I was unsure if he grabbed the same tiles, but they may be the same treetops you use.

On another note, /M/'s is nice, but right now I'm contemplating on the eligibility. As for gray, the structure kind of throws me off a bit; it's not really natural per se, nor is that the best palette to use. And if you don't mind, use the updated large palm trees; that type of color gradient makes them not fit in at all and they look rather tacked on.

Popuri, I can tell what you're going for here. It's a definitely nice start, but the fact is that it's a little too spaced. Obviously there's no real focus except those stairs, which is good and catches the player's eye, but I say add a little more direction towards the stairs, like a faint trace of a path or something.
