Need I remind you all that you're supposed to PICK the BEST of the shots? Even if you think they are all sub-par, choose the one you think sucks the least.

They're all good, despite the flaws in nate's, it's still decent. Billy's is average but not sucky, and TM001's is the best, despite those CURTAINS.
So...

billy ronald - 5/10
It certainly works, I will say that. The building seems to be complete in the basic sense, although more details would make it look even better. I am not a fan of the tree arrangement at the south end of the screen. But other than that, not bad at all.

nate4815 - 4/10
The ground details are okay, but the design of the cliffs and the stream are too simple to the point that it makes the screen look somewhat unnatural. Straight lines and just a few bends at 45 degree angles can do that.

Trimaster001 - 7/10
A very functional looking screen with lots of detail at the floor level, although it does look a bit awkward between the grates and other parts of the floor. Some more variety in the look along the longer north wall would make the screen look better. Good enough for my vote though.

billy ronald - Sadly, despite his general incompetence, there really isn't anything wrong with this shot, other than the mis-spelling of "forest", and the easily fixable stray green grass tile on the right side of the screen. One thing you could try, though, is sticking in the leafless trees, but hell, I've put trees with leaves on them in burning forests too, so I don't really care that you did too...vote? Yeah, let's go with this one.

nate4815 - Gray water looks HORRIBLE, moreso with all the miscolored crap underneath it. Jumping fishes do NOT work with transparent water. The angled waterfall is bad, and the crap at the bottom (especially the cut-off thing near the middle) is ugly. Then there's the general awkwardness of the cliffs (especially how the grass hangs out it) and the ugly shiny trees. And the miscolored sword in the statue of Link's hand. Those two different bushes next to said statue look bad side-by-side. The neon green grass, the light green part of Link's hat, and the light grey rocks at the bottom of the brown cliff are also ugly. Other than that though, it's good.

Trimaster001 - I don't really like the way you did this. Those cages just look bad, especially with the floor boarders running into them, and the bones roughly the same color as they are on them. I also don't really like that large bar in the middle of the room. It just seems out of place, especially with all the black boarders running amok. In general, the screen is just too messy for my tastes. That aside, I don't really like the color of the rats. Too white for my tastes, especially given the cages.

I noticed that I didn't comment on the screens...
I will try to remain calm this time... We all know what happened last time I ''reviewed'' a shot I didn't like...
Yeah, that means two of yuocan go ''Uh-oh'' now!

Billy:
That... is....
No....
I won't say that.
I will just say that I hate it.
That temple/tower whatever yuo want to call it, is WAAAAAAAA--AAAAA (hours later) AAAAAY to big!
It does NOT, I repeat, NOT fit in ZC!
It is so huge, it takes up the entire screen.
Place it higher. You don't HAVE to get all ofthe tiles into the shot!

Nate:
Well... At first glance, I like it.
At second, I don't... the palette is... yeah, we'll stick to ''...''
Where's the detail?!?! Why are the stones GREEN?!

TM001: Other than the north wall being completly stright, I see nothing wrong with this shot... cept for the weird ''wirefloor''/normal floor crossover. Add somthing there. And edit the north wall...

A fair assessment of the tower's height, to be sure, but there's always a nicer way to say it. Just because you view yourself better than Billy doesn't mean you will always be. Help the less experienced, because they'll be the experienced someday. We're here to make friends, not enemies.

Heh, he's toned down quite a bit from what he was saying about Billy's screens before actaully LiH.

I'm sure Billy's used to it by now.

And Migo does have a point, if that tower were moved up by 1 or 2 combos, it'd free up a lot of space on the screen.
More walkable areas == better.

Such gigantic constructions really should be split up this way: base is on south screen, top is on a separate screen. This is because NES screens aren't configured for such things, this huge building (Tower of Hera) requires Z3 screen scrolling. But I guess Billy doesn't want to redesign the surrounding screens just because of that. It isn't a too big problem for me, anyway.

Also... considering what does Migokalle like and what not... I announce that I need to cancel my quest... because if it gets released, Migokalle will be banned for extremely brutal flaming in my quest's thread... I'm not being mean, I'm amused by Migokalle's comments. But he won't be my beta tester ever... icon_sigh.gif

My "Meaning of Christmas" has a tower, and its split between to screens... I know that it should be. I didn't say Migokalle's criticism in itself was wrong:

Uhm... I didn't say (in this post atleast icon_razz.gif ) that I was better than billy...
And I DID try to help -.-
I said he should move it up, didn't I?
And CC... AHAHAHAH! lol!
icon_razz.gif
That was awesome.
But no, I don't hateyour screens... but they seem that they would fit better in a 3D game... That's all.
