I found out how to use layers!!!! I'll have a decent screen in a minute. ![icon_lol.gif](http://www.purezc.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/icon_lol.gif)
Before now, I was looking forward to hours of hard work recoloring tiles.
Today, I leave the world of noobs who don't know how to layer!

The first room of the Knight's Test, otherwise known as level 1. The other shots were the entrance to it.

Are you using those colors on purpose? Or do you not know about Palettes?

Although I already like the dungeon's color, I have open ears about these so called "palletes"

Ok. I recommend you read a tutorial, but I'll try to explain. Palettes are a collection of 12 Csets. Csets are a collection of 16 colors. To chnage Csets simply press "+" and "-". There are two ways to change palettes; one affects the game while being played in ZC, and the other only affects the color while in Z-Quest. To change Palettes in ZQ press "F4" and choose your palette. To change it so that it affects in-game, you have to go to the D-Map corresponding to the area you want to change, and change it there. Certain Palettes are supposed to be only for Dungeons, and others for Overworld. Do you understand?

Yeah, I thinks so. I already knew about c-sets.(It would be impossible to make the screenies I already made without them) But Palletes are foriegn territory for me.

Now that I see that picture...
Right off the bat, I'll tell you this: It is a really bad idea to cover the whole screen in flowers. I mean, look at ALttP:

It's not littered with flowers.
What you need is variation. Scatter them, and leave plenty of distance in between.
