I voted for Zeldd.
I simply love the greyscale pallette and that pic is good for the eye. And she isn't using GB tileset, that's LttP tileset... And yes, her goal were to make a good black&white pic.
I simply don't know what random ppl like in MD's shot, it is just a simple gameplay pic. And I usually don't like metroid pics...
ZC-Ninja: Well, I was thinking about voting for you, but that lava-or-what tiles on the right are bad for the eye and now my head extraordinary aches, so it's even worse this way...
(Zeldd was standing next to me while I voted, but it didn't affect anything.)

I voted for your sister too. I like the idea of showing something that happened in the past.

Wait... Is Zeldd on a low-end comp? I'm on a comp right now with a horrible (and practically non-existant) graphics card that messes up every picture you try to load up on it (horribly pixelated and pallette mix-ups). However, when I try looking at her shot, the pallette looks like a well done greyscale pallette and the shot looks great. Could this be the problem?

Well, she's using a very high-contrast greyscale palette, so perhaps the contrast doesn't look as high on your computer.

The contrast is lower, and red doesn't appear on this comp at all. Perhaps that's why the ground looks pinkish as she can't tell if it looks grey or red?

It's strange!
I haven't seen that the ground is pinkish on Zeldd's picture until you mentioned... However I have seen this shot on the computer she used and it was a lot pettier... No pinkness or so. May it be because of converting from BMP into GIF with IrfanView? The PC she uses is the main family PC and has very good capabilities with one of the latest VG cards and such... I use my laptop.
Anyways, that is the LttP tileset and there's nothing else than LttP tiles and the ones that were drawn by her. She made the palette, too. I gave her the idea because the success of other Greyscale palletes.

Somebody asked why Link isn't on the picture. He isn't there because he isn't greyscale, so it would make the picture worse.
Anyways, in my next picture, Link will be visible!

Hey, Zeldd, I have a good idea:
First of all, which "Link" tiles are you using?
Look for the link tiles you are using in the loose tile database, download it, then open up the loose tiles with Irfanview. Go to image-convert to greyscale, then save it.
Next, go to ZQuest. Go to Quest--Pallettes--main, then look for the 6'th CSet down. Click it, and click edit. Now, go to grab, then look for the greyscale Link loose tile, then click ok. If successfull, Link should be completely greyscale.
Hope I helped.

since this took so long to get put up, I'll let it run for a few more days. however I'd like for SotW 127 to start today, and I only have two entries. you know what that means!

since I started it so late, I let this run for a while, and it looks like Mighty Darknut wins!
