Slyph- I like it. It's balanced, and shows experience. Nothing breathtaking, though.
XdragonSB- Another good shot, in my opinion. I like the way the plants/trees were done and the cliffs.
Linkus Mastii- Again, good, but nothing fantastic. I like how the grass was done, though.
Dark Lord Magus- It certaintly stands out, being the only shot of a dungeon/boss battle. It's detailed and interesting. I hope you didn't just copy it from something...as ZC-Ninja says....
Anderson333- Good shot! Maybe I'm partial to lava scenes, but I thoroughly enjoy this one. The lava lacks prominence, though. In my opinion it should be brighter and more fiery.
Mighty Darknut- Interesting choice of colors, but not necessarily bad. All it lacks is a little detail! I don't know if i like the boxes a lot, but it shows room for improvement, right?

Anyway, yes, the shot definitely needs sprites (in which I have none at the time I released the shot, for that it is a new tileset in progress). More to come soon--maybe an indoor shot, a dungeon shot, and maybe some new sprites. I have to say though, sprite palettes can be tricky--So many enemies use one Cset, along with NPCs, items, actions, and such.
Back to judging-
Anderson333- Nice, but many of the tiles are just old to see nowadays. Nice Gossip Stone, though.
Dark Lord Magus- Eh, Mystic Quest tiles. Not much detail, but an okay setting.
-Me-- Brillant! Fantastic! Et cetera, et cetera... Move along!
Mighty Darknut- Good mountains, flowers, character, and fences, but that's it. However, I hope to see more work into this tileset.
Slyph- to me, this is just one of those shots in Pure. The string, although, brings up funny thoughts.
XDragonSB- Um, what's up with the green eyes in that tree in the back?
Green... And brown. That's all I see except the roof of the house. Nice sprites, though.
ZC-Ninja- Vice versa to what you said to me-- If I lose, I'd rather lose to you, and it looks like it's going in your favor. A lot of activity in this pub--musicians(why is the Edward sprite playing the orciana?), bystanders, customers, employees, people of different types, EVEN a murder! Wow. Now that's one chaotic pub.

I think you misunderstood what I said.. DLM dident copy the image, but ripped the screen (via la emulator) and used them in the shot as to what my memory tells me in the exact same way that FFMystic Quest has them.
Linkus Mastii- Theres still 5 days left for the poll to turn sides, and quite frankly, it is pretty close

You know, all those tiles took me only 9 days--4 days of work and 5 days of staring at it to see if it's right(it's an artist thing)

It's an alrigt shot, but the SD3 lava clashes with the other GB graphics...
Dark Lord Magus:
Nice shot
Linkus Mastii:
Nice. I really like the small trees, and the house, but the dirt and big trees aren't doing a whole lot for me...
Mighty Darknut:
I really love those mountain tiles. I think that is your strongest point. But the trees look like paper cut outs next to everything else. I guess I mean the look extra 2D. But this shot gets second place from me
Slyph:
Nice overworld design, but I gotta say it ain't SotW winning material. Mix up the trees a bit. It is still a nice pure shot though
XdragonSB:
Nice shot, but the fact that it was taken in ZC, and the fact that we can't see the shot in action kinda bothers me. It doesn't look like a real shot from a game. It looks more like a test shot of you working on your screen design, which has gotten better. Promo shots, and shots from ZC aren't my thing since we don't know if they are as good as the're cracked up to be...
ZC-Ninja:
This is the winner IMO. It is the most eye pleasing, and detailed. I like the variety of tiles and different characters you have. It really is the pubbiest pub there ever was

Oh yeah. Other shots are nice too. But nowhere near close Ninja's quality.
edit: 100 posts! Finally

Honestly, I didn't even RIP the tiles from the game.. I took screenshots and drew them all by hand.. they just look ugly ripped. Then I started by makeing the final boss battle of MQ at the beginning of my game.
FYI, the colors are way off from snes graphics, it uses similar pallet to the ones used in DoR tileset. The eyeballs aren't round enough to be Mystic Quest, Ben doesnt have a shield in MQ, and the "starfield" backround has a heavy ( 3tile) stone, a smaller (2tile) and an even smaller 1 tile and even 1 pixel sprite that all cycles directly down-left diagnal style with no halting and constant repeating.
On top of this, my icy-like ground tiles are way too dark to be mystic quest, as they are much brighter and Zquest pallets are so limited. Another Zquest pallet/color error is Dark King's blue under-robes... in Mystic Quest they are purple.
Take a look for yourself:

But I digress.
I also noticed your shot is very FF-like. I was going to suggest to you before to add the dancer's sprite from FF3/6 and have her spinning around on the stage ( would have added more of a spirited pub theme ) But I failed to mention it
