I going to have to disagree with Shane, and agree with Orin. The screens before were very empty in detail even for a classic styled quest. Especially the water. The trees were also really bad. The edited screens are much better.

It looks more "professional" the way you have it now.

The screen with the snow could still use some work. See about more detail in the actual snow and maybe re-shape the shore line as it is really flat. Make it bend and curve.

But I think te edits were a great improvement and they look pretty good now icon_smile.gif

Well, I never disagreed about what Orin said about the trees, and water. icon_razz.gif

But the improvements are nice though.

The problem was never lack of detail, it was lack of contrast. The trees are the same colour as the grass, which makes it all blend together and look horrible. Remember that even the classic tileset and its limited palette has green/brown trees on sand - never green on green, or brown on brown, or sand on sand. That's the biggest problem I can see, other than that you just need to work on your art. Check out some pixel art tutorials, learn some mad skillz.

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I think those shots look great!
It's cool that you can barely see the monsters except for their red eyes (and mouth? that's what it looks like). Kinda' reminds me of the White Wolfos at Snowpeak from TP.

What an awesome subscreen.

Although I'm not fond of the water diagonals thingies or the deku scrub octorocks, everything else looks pretty good. Palette is easy on the eyes.

Oddly, I thought that was the most note-worthy part of the screenshot. I can't see it in action, but from a current standpoint I think it might look pretty interesting. I'm not sure what I'm more amazed at; the Newfirst-esque tileset or the palette, combined with a classic subscreen. For all I know, you could have opened newfirst and imported classic subscreen elements. :bleh: Heheh.

I like that screen. There is a lot going on and a little bit of two different scenes, but it works.
I don't think the octorocks are colourful enough when compared to the environment.

I really like what's going on in this screen. The graphics and palette are beautiful, and it's a very well designed screen. I think the tileset is a keeper. Good GB feel as well, but also something totally different... Well done icon_thumbsup.gif

I like the subscreen. It's very "original". icon_lol.gif

I must say though, I love the screen. The design and colour choices are fantastic.

I really like the palette and you somehow made newfirst not look terrible. I think the tree trunks could be a bit lighter though, and I hate when the mountains are used like that, makes the perspective look off.

Very good! I like the varieties in this screen, however I should just use one max two types of trees. :)

Why would anybody use a certain maximum type of trees? The more different types of trees the better.
