I got a wii U for christmas and a few games to go with it. Smash, Mario Kart, 3D world. Mostly my time has been spent making and briefly testing my quest, but the rest of it is going to 3D world. Such a fun game.

I'm up to the start of World Flower, and I've gotten all the stamps/gold flags/green stars before it. Looking forward to tackling the rest!

Well, I just finished Bioshock 2, and the next game on my Steam Library to do is Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. I played through the first level and had a blast, but had some other stuff I had to do.

Other than that, I bought a copy of Minecraft so that I could play with the Chinese exchange student who's been living with us. Interesting Fact: If you're playing multiplayer with a person whose game is set to Chinese, you will receive notice messages in English, but the names of mobs in those messages will be in Chinese. I haven't died yet myself, so I don't know if it goes both ways, but I've been getting notices that he's been getting shot by Skeletons, with the name of the Skeleton being something I cannot read, so I have to go by context to figure out what happened. Not that it's difficult to do so, but it was a surprising thing to discover.

Grats to me for unlocking the ability to make my own Mithril Axe/Hatchet in OSRS. Got tired of using a Black one since like level 20 in Woodcutting. So now I can do Animal Magnetism and get my Accumulator so training Ranged is a bit easier. I have almost 9,000 Steel Arrowtips to make into arrows in addition to a few thousand Steel Arrows. All I need now is a better bow (8 Fletching levels away from being able to make Yew Shortbows) and I'm set. Luckily for me, my new axe should make Fletching and Woodcutting training alike go MUCH faster. And yes, I could have just done Clue Scrolls for better axes/hatchets, but I'm too lazy plus I'd rather not deal with the annoyance of a clue I can't do.

Guess that's a nice way to wrap-up the year for Old School Runescape.

I got a little further into Tales of Hearts R. So far, I think I might like this more than Abyss 3DS as a portable Tales game just because this game feels more optimized for a handheld. The pacing is more quick which is something that is very important for a JRPG on the go. Who would want to sit and watch a long cutscene on a portable device than actually playing? The battle system so far is in my opinion one of the best in the Tales series. It is very fast paced and very focused on comboing which games like the Xillia series and Graces fail to achieve. I love how you can prevent an enemy from escaping your combo. Enemies escaping comboes is one infamous element Xillia had. You are able to perform huge comboes while at the same time does not feel as cheap as Vesperia.

Another RPG I recommend if you own a Vita....now if only if Ventus had a Vita.

Hearts R is up there with Symphonia and Vesperia as best Tales game. But yeah, it's a shane that this game is only on the Vita.

I'm losing my motivation to finish Omega Ruby. I got to the worst part of the game: the infamous surfing and diving portion.

I did it...

Finally got 100% in Etrian Odyssey 3. Cthulhu Abyssal God was freaking crazy. @_@ Granted, I could have probably made the fight easier if I had actually bothered to grind to level 99, but I couldn't find any simple way of doing so that required a bunch of prep or fighting the post game bosses over and over. Besides, I was still doing good damage to it either way, so I decided to just keep at it. It also felt good to do it with my own party and not fall back on Shogun/Buccaneer, Shogun/Ninja or any other crazy strategy that completely trivialize the boss. (Not knocking it, by the way - if that's how someone prefers to do it, more power to them! I just wanted to stick with my party that I've had for majority of the game.)

In the end, my party was...

Hector - Gladiator/Arbalist - Berserker's Vow, Charge, Blade Rave. Arbalist for Proper form so he could hit things.
Alicia - Hoplist/Ninja - Defending the party in every way she can. Ninja so she could use Bushnin for dual line protection or dual elemental protection.
Lasaya - Arbalist/Gladiator - Like Hector, she focused on Berserker's Vow and Charge. She ran Front Mortar and Double Action as he main means of damaging things. (A charged Front Mortar is scary enough - having Double Action proc is freaking glorious. XD)
Avahi - Monk/Prince - Healing duty. Sometimes revived stuff, but mostly kept a constant stream of HP going with Protect Order.
Serena - Zodiac/Wildling - Launched all my elemental attacks. Focused on Stars since by the time I added her, all I had left were bosses. Wildling for Primal Drum to give the physical fighters a little extra damage.

I had a bunch of other characters in my guild, but they were more for other things. (Like my Farmer squad, bringing in crazy amounts of money for me.) However, there was...

Tabitha - Princess/Zodiac - Focused on buffing the party. When they didn't need buffs, she used Dark Ether to keep the front line's TP pool in check since it negates the cost of all spells used on a line for one turn.

Once I hit the post game boss stuff, I had to swap Tabhitha out for Serena. While she was incredibly valuable throughout the game, I needed elemental damage. While I could use the Arm spells to give basic attacks elemental properties, I needed something more substantial. Plus, it would have taken a valuable buff slot. And while I could delve for into the Zodiac subclass she had, I felt she would have been juggling around far too much. Plus, Avahi had the one buff I really wanted either way.

Overall, had  a great time with it, even if there were points I wanted to throw my 3DS out a window. :P On a side note, Calling that Detestable Name is up there now as one of my favorite final boss themes. >_>

Anyway, that's that. Farewell Armaroad! Until we inevitably get an Untold III, that is. :P

...

Now that I'm done with that though, I'm finally going to get to Alpha Sapphire. However, I'm planning to Nuzlocke it blind to make it a bit more interesting. O: At the same time, I'm probably going to play...Mario Galaxy. I realize I'm many years late to the party on this one. >_> On top of that, me and my brother have been kind of going through 3D World together. I think we may have gotten this team work thing down, but I'm sure there will be plenty of points where we're yelling and each other (jokingly of course) and throwing shells at one another, or throwing one another off a cliff. >_> Should be fuuuun! XD

Almost 100% Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Five trophies left until I get the Platinum.

I beat Legend Mode in Hyrule Warriors. Overall, the main campaign was rather repetitive. It was mostly, beat a crapton of enemies, take the keep, beat a boss with tons of HP, repeat. The big charm from my experience is the fanservice part of the game. I believe they nailed it in that field, but the gameplay was nothing impressive. I'm just about to begin Adventure Mode. That's gonna be interesting.

I also got back to Bayonetta 2 and currently in Chapter 9. What more can I say about this game? One of the best action games of all time. A must have game for the Wii U.

With Hyrule Warriors beaten, time to begin Dynasty Warriors 8 for the PS4.

Back to Old School Runescape for me. I survived a suicide mission to Mage Bank so I could convert my entire cash stack into Nature Runes. I also bought some Law Runes for teleports so I don't have to be so stingy about doing so. My bank stands at a very impressive 4 coins. That's right; I spent almost every coin on Nature Runes so I could high alch crap for profit. I'd beg for free stuff, but I'm an Iron Man, so I can't accept handouts. Still glad I haven't had any deaths yet on my Iron Man, other than that one suicide to get my Magic level back up to normal.

In the game Fantasy Life, I beat the main story line and am playing through the post-game content. I also have master rank in every life and am currently working on getting Hero-rank in the lives now. It is a fun game all in all, though some mechanics can be worked on I think... but that is mostly just my own opinions (mainly the crafting for making custom items)

Playing WAKFU on steam with some friends. The inherent crappiness of click-to-move is counterbalanced by the fact that you actually get around pretty fast in Wakfu, and also the game world is just fricking fascinating.

Small break from Old School RS and beginning to make my massive fortress in Minecraft. Basically, it's a Creative Mode Superflat map where I teleported to 0, 0 and made that my spawn point. From what I have so far, there are some Redstone Lamps embedded in the floor to light the room as well as lava in all four corners behind Iron Bars. The center of the room is at the map's origin point of 0, 125, 0. So far, all I built was a long stairway up to a small room with three doors to the north. I was thinking of the two to the sides being bathrooms and going north more would lead to my throne room. The western branch takes you to a room with a large spiral staircase that takes you to the higher and eventually lower stories. It may just lead directly down to Hell itself. Who knows?

I hope that when and if I finish it, I could share the map with you guys. It's a 1.7.4 map for the record (Minecraft 1.8 / 1.8.1 have issues for me where my controls will frequently lock for 1-2 seconds at a time and when I turn sometimes I'll spin around really fast). Hopefully I can make it work nicely.
