I ran into a brony girl today at lunch. She was wearing a 20% cooler shirt, so I sat with her and we had a rousing conversation about ponies.

Today is a GOOD Monday. It's a shame Chrono Trigger DS hasn't come in yet. That would have made it an awesome Monday.

I've also realized that Chrono Trigger doesn't cross with ponies. Rainbow Dash matches quite nicely with Crono, but that's about it.

I just realized something about the new(est) episode.
Spoiler

I know some of you will probably have realized this already, but just in case no-one had.

Also, oh dear God, the English extended intro is amazing. I seriously need to get an mp3 of that.

I haven't watch the extended intro yet. I'm scared to.

What if... what if it's too awesome for me to handle?

Me likey the extended intro. I'm honestly glad they don't show it for every episode, but I wish they had done it for the season premieres.

That brony girl I met yesterday also happens to like Zelda, so I'm doubly happy now. icon_biggrin.gif We bumped into each other yet again at lunch.

That's so awesome. Will read it. Must play some Chrono Trigger first... (Any match with the topic at hand is purely coincidental.)

Also, Back To The Future Part 1 was WAAAAY better than its sequels.

Also, I agree that Smile sounds way better out of context. It was kinda "meh" in the episode, but it really blows me out of the water when it stands alone.

They are a trilogy. A package deal. Each individual, including the first, is nothing without the other two.

Not really. The first movie was written without sequels in mind. The second two did pretty well with what they had, considering the "sequel hook" in the first movie was originally a joke. The biggest thing that bugs me is that Marty gets a weakness in the second two movies that was never present in the first. (Don't call me chicken)

Actually, most "trilogies" work this way. Even Star Wars did this.

But I digress.

I realize that Chrono Trigger really can be ponified after being reminded of Marle's personality. Two matchups are a bit awkward, but aren't too bad:
Crono: Rainbow Dash
Marle: Pinkie Pie
Lucca: Twilight Sparkle
Frog: Spike
Robo: Fluttershy (Yes, I know. Awkward)
Ayla: Applejack
Magus: Rarity (Also awkward, but less so than FlutterRobo)

The only thing more awkward than these ponifications is the Crono/Marle relationship. In these cases, I usually just pretend that relationships don't exist.

Ahem *points to the ending of Part 1, in which Doc returns from the future the next day and tells Marty that something is happening in the future that he needs to stop. The first film ends with Marty and Doc flying off to the future*

That wasn't added in the second movie. That whole sequence was in the first one. They were planning a sequel the entire freaking time.

Zemeckis states that initially Back to the Future was not planned to have a sequel, but its huge box office success led to the conception of a second installment. At first Part II was to take place in 1967. "Mr. Fusion" was to be destroyed, and Marty and Doc Brown would have to fly the DeLorean over a canyon.[1]

Just a funny scene they threw into the first movie.

Big Macintosh would make a better Frog; Spike should be Kino.

Big Macintosh really fits better for Robo but Fluttershy doesn't work for Frog. Spike as Kino works, but I'm leaving him on Frog because it also works. Trixie as Magus actually works better than Rarity.

Rarity and Fluttershy would probably have to be reduced to major side characters. :/
