Picked up Phoenix Wright DD for half off from the eShop. I can't wait to play this. I hope the trials are just as good if not better than Danganronpa! ![]()

Working on a new unique home in Minecraft. I have my bedroom such that it's a 5x4 room 3 blocks high that makes you think you're trapped, but you press a button to open a wall to let yourself out and back in on the other side. It's like that 2x2 piston door I posted a long time ago, but it's just 2 high, 1 wide. Same setup as before; button on opposite faces of a block with a Redstone Torch on top powering the pistons. When the button is pressed, it temporarily shuts the switch off long enough to pass through safely.
As for the Iron Man in Old School RS, well, not much progress this week and I am too lazy to post a screenshot of my current stats. Anyway, some highlights:
-Gained 9 Ranged levels rocking the puny Maple Shortbow and full Green D'hide (seriously, my bow needs an upgrade, and fast; I look like a noob using a level 30 bow at 54 Ranged, just because I'm an Iron Man and can't make a better bow yet)
-Had a Chuggaaconroy moment killing Fire Giants for a Rune Scimitar. I camp them 3 hours in vain and have to leave because my inventory was full. I come back and guess what? Rune Scimitar drop, first kill back. To quote Chuggaaconroy, "YOU GOTTA BE FREAKIN' KIDDING ME!!" Oh, and I got a second 7-8 kills later. Nice. On a lesser note, I have a slightly better shield now in a Mithril Sq from a Black Sq...
-Did Lost City and camped Greater Demons, spending over 2x the money on runes, but it paid off as I upgraded my Adamant Full Helm to its Rune Full Helm counterpart.
Currently I'm training Magic up for High Level Alchemy so I can finally do something with all those semi-valuable drops I've accumulated that I refuse to have a general store scam me on. Then I have to make a suicide mission to the Mage Arena and dump my life savings into Nature Runes and spend my days making Maple Longbows so I can make 384gp per alch and start making more serious money. My no death run thus far will most likely come to an end shortly...
Currently I'm rank 1,444 on the Iron Man rankings at 868 total and just barely over 2,000,000 total XP. A loss of 8 ranks since Monday ![]()
Oh, for those that care, the Chuggaaconroy quote is from his FireRed LP when he attempted to catch Zapdos. He tried 30 Ultra Balls, only for all of them to fail him miserably. Then for laughs, he threw a normal Poke Ball and caught it on the first try. Once the ball clicked, "YOU GOTTA BE FREAKIN' KIDDING ME!!". Easily the second best quote from that LP. The only one that tops that is his fight against the rival's Rattata. "The heck was I worried about? It's a freaking Rattata...*gets KO'ed by a lucky critical hit from Rattata's Quick Attack* What? WHAT? WHAT!? OHHH! You gotta be shitting... (cuts off before he says me)" Moral of that story? Should have healed up on Abra instead of trying to take Rattata on with your Ivysaur at low HP.

I'm about 5 hours into Persona Q. So far, I'm really impressed with this game. At first I felt intimidated that this game will carry over the intense difficulty found in Etrian Odyssey. I'm so glad that they are more fair in this game. The difficulty is just what you would expect in a normal Persona game. This time, if you hit an enemy's weakness, not only do you strike first your next turn, but the MP cost of your next attack is reduced to 0. I'm really liking this game. Man Chie's got tons of meaty lines. lol

EDIT: Pretty much re-wrote my entire post. I was mad because I had to have this thing call authenticator or something on my Runescape account to access a dungeon with the monsters I had to kill for Slayer. So knee jerk reaction was "Blah blah blah authenticator sucks blah blah blah what's the point blah blah blah". Pretty much complaining about nothing. The program works great and I wish I'd try things before going all rage mode.
Anyway, Slayer task done and finally after so long took my free 10,000gp out of the Stronghold of Security and a pair of Rainbow Boots. They look like Uggs or those tall rainbow patterned toe socks girls wear. Not that they're any use to me now, so I'm pretty much going to destroy them and never bother to ever put on the Rainbow Uggs. Climbing Boots for life.

Dragon Quest VIII is one loooooooooooong game, just warning you. If you want a recommendation on other good DQ games, I would say Dragon Warrior/Quest III and especially Dragon Warrior/Quest IV. I only played the GBC version of the 3rd one and a bit of the NES one and only played the NES version of IV, although the DS remake is much better IMO.

I've been playing Pokemon: AlphaSapphire whenever I have some down time. I'm really enjoying it. Definitely the best of all the early generation remakes thus far.

I recently beat Etrian Odyssey III, going with the Deep City. Though, as I've done with the others I've played, I plan to get a full 100%. (Filling the guild card, 100% monstrous codex, 100% item compendium, that kind of stuff.) Did a new game+ and am back in the 5th stratum, nearly ready to get the Armaroad ending. Which will just leave me the true ending. ._. It's going smooth though, but I'm thinking on rebuilding my gladiator as I see more potential in building him a different way. I guess we'll see though, ha ha.
EO3 best EO.
With EO2 Untold just out in Japan and EO5 + EO Mystery Dungeon announced we'll have plenty to do for the coming years. I hope they decide to make an EO3 Untold as well. Then I'll be able to die happy.

At this rate Untold 3 is a given, possibly even an Untold 4 in the future on whatever the successor to the 3DS is. Though I hope they don't take too long to make it. I'm tempted to try EO3 as is, but I don't know how well it'd go with how the games have aged. There's already a good amount of differences between IV and Untold that took me awhile to get used to.
I'm planning on getting Untold 2 (despite that Hot Springs DLC for Untold 2 looking a bit too pervy for my liking. But it's DLC, so it'll hopefully be 100% optional and not required to complete the Monstrous Codex + Item Compendium I hope) and EOMD, assuming it comes out that year like it's supposed to.
EO5 doesn't seem that close to coming out, but I'll be considering it too if it does come out next year.
As for my progress in IV. Grinding Pookas and Warped Cores currently. I wanna kick the guy that thought having the Yggdrasil Weapons needing 8 forges to max out their strength was a good idea. I'm going to need 63 Warped cores if my math is right to max out everything. I'm gonna be seeing a lot of the Warped Savior..
After I 100% in a few years at this rate, I may do a New Game+ with a new team. Considering Imperial, Nightseeker and an Arcanist as I haven't tried those yet. Although I never went with a Bushi, the class doesn't interest me and I had three members of my team subbed as them, so I'll be passing on Bushi.
For the other two members I'm not sure yet. I may just go with another Runemaster and Landsknecht if nothing else looks appealing by then.
I also need to finish 100%ing Untold, but all that's left is that dumb Final Boss fight on Hard (Sounds fun..) and a few badges which it should've given me already, but didn't for whatever reason.. (I'm looking at you 100% maps and treasure chests...)

I hate how everything you do has a purpose, a reason to do it. Causality does not mean you should be rewarded for everything. You help someone, that woman gives you something (an upgrade, an item). You're the hero, the superhuman, you're above anybody else. NPCs only exist for you. Even the main protagonists are mere puppets to satisfy yourself. Quite ironic that the most promising character, Tetra, with its bossy behaviour, has denied any will, any path other than the one the ancestors and gods gave to her. Even her skin becomes white to reflect that. Only Link and Ganondorf can fight for their future.
And I hate how the islands lack any physical logic. You would expect the area around Dragon Roost Island to be volcanic, with small, underground geisers and eruptions and small volcanoes. Other than Fire island, Dragon Roost is its own isolated ecosystem. Same with any other island in the game. They're completely isolated, and worse, some have an artificial shape (Bomb island, Shark island, the die-shaped islands). Why? Whose god designed this? Oh... the gods who also created a magical power for no reason. The same magical power it always carries destruction and pain to Hyrule and its citizens.
No wonder items are mere keys and combat in 3D Zelda games are mere puzzles, with a given solution. When the enemy is going to attack, press A.
I hate how people has expectations on my actions. The people in Outset Island talking about the wonderful and joyful lifes young kids have (because being old and fragile means your life is meanigless, and being a young pal means you should play with other kids and make everybody happy, with nobody asking what is happening inside your body). The King of Red Lions forcing a young, lost boy to achieve sucessess nobody else could. Are Hyrule and the Great Sea full of incompetent people that the King is forced to rely on a kid?
Why should I fight for Hyrule?
But I really love the charming art style, the promise of the unknown island in the horizon, the Nintendo Gallery (why making figurines if there's no reward? Because we can), the small stories in Windfall's tavern, the people who help Link without knowing he's more than another kid, and Link's own lovely, altruist heart. The misteries and random dangers of the sea (even if there's no actual, serious danger involved).
Wind Waker's story and ending could have promised a different path, a different future for the franchise. Twilight Princess denied it.
Let's hope Zelda U is the denied future.
