Hm. Yeah, guess I failed to notice last night how blue they were. More like this, maybe?

I agree, the forest brush are horrible.. Only reason i didn't bother changing it before the shot was because I've been working on something new. I recently finished and was going to display it another time but since you brought it up, I'll show you a pic:

Not bad, but my first suggestion is make sure you upload the image in another format besides .JPG/.JPEG, it reduces the quality of the image. I personally think the lava could be lighter, especially considering the lava is inside a cave. Maybe something such as this:

It's probably the image then, as these tiles are EXACTLY how they are in the PSP game. There was no color loss when ripping.

... Wow. That IS a small guardhouse. icon_odd.gif

Liking the palette. The trees seem to be oddly colored relative to the completely detailed cliffs and grass, almost as if they're missing a critical color.

A masterpiece. The simplicity and open flow work well. The shades of brown are wonderful and contrast well to the greens.

Thank you, Josh! I'll look into that, but what "critical color" do you think they're missing?

Thank you, Marco. Not much else needs to be said. icon_smile.gif

Do you guys think dirt should be added eventually? I think it works well without it, but then again it doesn't make much sense without it.

Adding dirt would overcrowd the ground, I feel it being simple is perfect.

Well, do you have a fourth green color? A green color brighter than the brightest there? The upper-most darker green can be replaced with that lighter green, possibly. As it is now, it feels like the trees in question only have two real colors to color them, with the darkest of the current three only serving as a foundation for the rest of the colors that actually make up its real "tree" form and sensation.

We might have another green in the new tileset. This is the old beta, and I'm simply testing it to get used to it. But I will look into it. icon_wink.gif

I like your sense of geography in this. It makes me feel like I am in a small pass, on my way to a village

Thanks, King Aquementus! I like the shape and geography of it as well. It feels...peaceful.
