I knew it was there but no way to make the combo do more then 32 hearts of damage in 2.53. Will be updating the 2.55 version to always one shot and make so damage combos do less damage on easier modes and rings.
I think those traps should be redesigned (GFX wise) to have really scary looking, for instance, like black holes with tentacles. And think about players on keyboards with input lag when it comes with precision required. Maybe reducing speed by 0.05 - 0.1, unless beta-testers were good with parameters as is. Also buffing early game giant traps (1st appeared in Dream Gate) should make indication that they should be avoided at all costs, even if it results in falling into pit.
EDIT: I think, for instant-kills difficulty should affect movement speed, slower for Easy and faster on higher difficulties. I have seen many video games that fail to handle these cases, resulting in massive difficulty spikes on lower difficulties. In better cases such hazards are either slowed down,or removed entirely.
I need to know, how difficulty is handled technically in this quest. I can write FFC script that changes FFC speed depending on difficulty setting. Assuming you interested on it.
