I'm running Landsknecht, Fortress, Medic, Sniper and Runemaster. Considering dumping the Fortress as he's completely useless as far as I can see. Protectors in Untold seem much better. My only options right now seem to be to grind regardless..

This is literally the exact team I ran and while I had a bit of trouble early on, it's a solid set up. Landsknecth and Sniper work miracles together with Squall Volley/Links. The Runemaster can also be nice to getting links going, but the Sniper's Squall Volley will most likely be all you need to really take advantage of it.

If I may offer advice - I wouldn't drop Fortress, personally. They may not be useful for actually hitting things, but being able to soak up damage in place of other party members was incredibly useful to me. Not to mention that they get a skill that can negate one ailment shot at the party (I think it only works one line at a time, but it's still good) for up to 3 turns. I dunno though - if you find a set up with something else that works better, more power to you. :)

I've yet to get to that point, but I will probably experiment with it. I hear you need Leg Binds or something like that in order for Squall Volley to actually hit more than like once. I'm not positive how the Links work in this game compared to Untold still. It seems a bit more confusing than it need to be. I'm assuming I need to use Improved Link and try to Leg Bind on turn 1, then next turn one of the Elemental Links along with Squall Volley? On another note, I think my Sniper is faster than the Landsknecht, so I don't know how well they'll pair in the end.

The problem more or less with Fortress is that he's so darn slow and as far as I can tell none of the useful abilities have any speed priority. Generally everyone will get wrecked the first turn, then he'll put up Strike Guard (or whatever the equivalent to Defender in Untold is called), then I have to hope I can heal everyone to make use of it. Despite investing in Defense and whatnot, he still goes down pretty easily. Protector worked better as you could easily spam Front/Rear Guards and the Elemental Walls without waiting for their turn to finally come around.

I'm assuming Ally/Line/Party Shield work like Bravery's Gift in Untold, but right now he can't take like 2-5 hits for someone else. I'll probably experiment with Subclasses before getting rid of him at least.

I beat inFamous First Light. If you are a big fan of Fetch and her Neon powers, this game is right up your alley. Now to go for the Platinum. Those Challenges are going to take a while.

Super Mario 3D World.

She was like.. magic when I got it. I said 'we need a new mario game to play' and bam. she gave me SM3DW. My mind is still blown.

Me and her have been playing through the game, so far, we have beaten the Fire Flower world, we are gonna collect everything next and see if that does anything.

You don't actually need leg binds - I used Spotter, myself. You'll still miss a bit, but that's going to happen with an attack that hits as much as it does. On Links - they're actually very simple - your Landsknecht will follow up attacks from other party members, though I don't remember the odds. I think the max is something like 3 or 4, but with Improved Links, it becomes much more. The damage gradually gets higher with each link, too. (I don't remember if that's from another passive skill or not - it's been awhile.

My sniper's also faster than my Landsknecht. I get around this with Vanguard, so that he acts first and can get his X Link off first. It gets a little tricky managing all the buffs later, but I find it's worth it.

I believe I subbed mine as a dancer so I could take advantage of the extra evasion. That, Party Shield and another skill that allows the fortress to outright block attacks at times is lovely.

I do understand what you're saying though. It was around the end of the second maze that I found my fortress really working for me. They do take some investment, but I found that it pays off pretty well. If speed is the big issue, perhaps try some speed increasing items? You'll lose a little on defense, sure, but you should be able to get Strike Guard up faster to make up for it. I 'unno. Just throwing ideas out there, I guess, ha ha.

Finally set up my new computer, and since it has an actual video card in it, I gave it a test run by turning on Sonic Generations...

Oh my god, I thought this game looked pretty when it was giving slide-show levels of lag. This looks freaking beautiful at 60 FPS! Yes, I still can't have all the settings maxed out, but even with the toned down shadows and reflection levels, it looks absolutely amazing! There are a couple minor lag spikes in a level or two, but still!

So yeah, this thing should work pretty good with 3D modeling and video editing. I was worried whether it would or not since I've never had a PC with a video card before, but I was pleasantly surprised. And to think I picked up this thing refurbished instead of brand new. I can't imagine if I had the money to spring for a multi-thousand dollar beast of a gaming rig.

If you already have a computer display, computer tower and keyboard/mouse then the cost of a powerful computer is typically around $1,400 in Australia. For around $800 you can upgrade Motherboard, CPU and RAM to new high end variants (Excluding video card and PSU).

First of all, congratuations on your new computer, have fun with it!

And franpa is right; it's really absurd to spend thousands of dollars just to build a new rig from scratch (unless you're a billionaire, heh). There are plenty of sites where you can learn to build one for less than that.

I finished Snatcher for Sega CD... amazing visual novel until Hideo Trolljima decided to ruin the fun with that embarrassing Act 3 xD

The ending was disappointing but worth the time, anyway.

Demon's Souls AND Dark Souls, both being two of my favorite games ever. The former is a true masterpiece, in my opinion.

Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, and Danganronpa 2 are my primaries.

Also, I just acquired a 2nd Xbox 360 (the slim version). I was thinking of trading my original model 360 to get the Xbox ONE for $250 (through the Microsoft store) , but there aren't that many exclusives on the Xbox ONE that justifies a purchase even at $250. Also, I already have a PS4 that has exclusives that I prefer and can run games better than Xbox ONE.

So continuing on from last time. I've finished the 2nd Maze in Etrian Odyssey IV and have gotten to the boss room in the 3rd Maze. But I'm having issues with getting down there with a decent amount of TP. When I did get down there one time with an okay amount, I realized I didn't bring any Ice Stakes after finally entering the boss room. Like how are you supposed to get down there with a good amount of Ice Stakes and have TP leftover to actually use? It looks as though I have to destroy the big pile of heat scales there which looks fun with the boss stalking you the whole time.

This game seriously needs some better ways to recover TP as well. Grinding for 3 Ginseng per Amrita takes forever and not really worth it.
