These screens may be confusing to you, but they are as I'd like them to be. I guess I'm just posting them to contribute. Feedback is still fine.
Those fireballs are summoned by the skeleton tiles on the wall, and appear and disappear. When they disappear you pass them before they reappear. Otherwise you take two hearts of damage.

The top door of the bottom screen leads to another floor that is unfinished at this point. You drop down to it from the top floor when you get to that point.

Edit: This will be a dark shadowy crypt themed level.

Is the elevation going up or down on the first shot? It looks like its going down, with pits on the bottom ground, but then stairs going up.
But as you said, it's pretty confusing. icon_razz.gif
Other then that, they are pretty good.

I like confusing to some extent, I like doing things my way, it keeps me interested and adds a little originality. I'm not trying to go for full on confusing though, as that can frustrate the player and that's not something I enjoy doing. Though you will need to be skilled to play anything I create, I don't go for nice and easy. I enjoy being evil, though I will never force the player to take a hit or get insta killed in a confusing room like a certain Wolf did. lol

You're using way too much dirt (or too little if you look at it a certain way), and it looks odd. The fences are also used wrong; they need to have a post on either side and not standing on their own. If you want to make an "open gate" effect, there should be a post immediately to the left/right of the "open" part of it. I probably sucked at explaining that but I might be able to whip up a pic to show you what I mean. Also, I think you're using the mountains wrong in the left side of the upper set, but I can't tell. I will tell you this though: The key to the ALttP set isn't so much detail as it is variety. Mix some stuff up, but don't make it too detailed; too much detail kills it. You're not quite there, in fact you're not totally near it, but that's just a tip for the future. icon_wink.gif

Basically what TS explained. But let me add, I prefer actual purple bushes and pound-able hammer posts as it will stay true to the original LttP (if that was your intent). Good stuff, in other words! icon_smile.gif

It works, but I'd balance it a bit more, giving the greens more contrast (making the darkest green darker would only be needed) and making the darkest brown a bit brighter but not too much.

Screen is good and very cool looking. icon_razz.gif

Looks great! I got a Hero of Dreams vibe from it. The design is wonderful, and the palette is beautiful! Keep doing great icon_wink.gif

The right most mountain that goes upward joins into the south facing mountain too far in. One tile down should make it look better. icon_smile.gif

Edit:

Your left mountain that joins into the south facing one goes like this:
______
|

While your right one goes like this:

|_____
|

Fix it to make it look like the left one.

The lower ledge that Link is standing on. Lower the part where the right side (with the red barrier) connects to the mountain above by one tile.
