Dr. Mutagen's MMDWR: DC Results

Total deaths: 24 (26 if you count the escape sequence deaths)
Total play time: About 22 hours and 15 minutes.
Total hearts: 16 (All of them)

My MMDWR: DC Rating: 5/5!

Yep. After all the restarting I had to go through in the past, I finally did it. Now that I finally got to see the quest's true colors, I can safely say that this is one of the best, if not the best, quest I've ever played. It's certainly hard, but not so hard that it pisses you off. There's also a lot of cool tricks I have yet to see in other quests (The custom Game Over screen that appears after failing to make it through the escape sequence was especially clever). If you're having trouble making it through this quest, keep trying. The later levels (especially the final asteroid base) show off the true potential of this quest, and the ending is well worth the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to get there.

EDIT: BTW, the Metal Man statue in the Research Lab has 50 or 200 Zens behind it. I forgot which it was.

*sighs*
If only those MMDWR dislikers out there would understand it that this quest gets better towards the end (though not everybody likes the 7th level and I can understand why.. hehe.)

Hey Descer! I actually thought the Lair was a nice surprise but I was a bit disappointed to find no custom bosses there.

Anyways. I wonder if I should start a speed run or 100% finish for DC. :\ Speed run might be more challengign. Oh what to do?

Well, if I may suggest, go for a speed run. I think not many people have tried that yet. I don't even know what the record is.

If you can beat the game in under 15 hours, that's a decent result. But if you can do it under 10 hours, that's a great result! If I remember correctly, my time was 10:25, but I'm the creator of the quest so I know where everything is and it still took me over 10 hours... (That damn level 7)

Level 7.... man, that was an annoying one, Pete. icon_razz.gif I was in one room for almost an hour TRYING to get across the breaking bridge when I found out you could cheat your way across.

Heh... cheat...

About cheating, I still can't believe how some people are persevering enough to cross the toxic waste at the beginning of Research Lab just by quesssing. Damn... icon_blink.gif

If you're asking help, you could also describe the problem you have. It would make answering questions so much easier... icon_cry.gif

Abandoned graveyard. You know where Lapin Village is? Right west from the village you can see a grey tile wall on the mountain. Blow the wall open with Super Bombs. If you don't have Super Bombs yet, you have to beat Factory (L6).

Of course we can tell you how to get the sword, but can you first tell where you are stuck? Are you already in the Power Station? If so, then you have to find a mini boss called "Wind Man" and defeat him to get the 1st sword.
