There is going to be DLC in this game, that I am sure of. The whole Amibo thing is nothing but a glorified way of selling people DLC, though as of right now that "content" is not at all worth anything besides the cool looking figure you get. We know that they're expanding the use for these figures though, and it would be weird if they forgot about one of their absolute biggest franchises when it comes to making extra money. Like I said, I am confident that we will see some sort of downloadable content for this game.
I did not get to watch the latest video with sound yet (other than some member here making orgasmic noises for things that I did not find impressive in any way (like gliding off the hill), but it looked cool enough. I did notice that the visuals as of right now are faaaar less impressive than the impression I got from the first clip (which looked spot on in the visuals department). Things like the side of a mountain being nothing but an elevated ground with some rocky textures thrown on top. That is the kind of visual fidelity you would expect to see in a GameCube game. I mean, I refuse to believe that the Wii U could not handle a few rock models thrown on top to hide the fact that the rocky mountain hill just fuses with the grass as if they were one and the same.
It is a relatively minor detail, I know, but a lot of these minor details, but fact of the matter is that it just does not look as nice as it did when they first revealed it. That video did a much better job of hiding it, in any case, and it makes me a little bit worried about what we might expect from the full game. That said, visual improvements and stuff like that is often done once the game is a bit closer to being finalized, so it´d be unfair to judge it on that level now.
It´s still a Zelda game though, so it´s not like my expectations aren´t already way too high. And it certainly looks like they´re moving far away from the mess that was Skyward Sword, so I´ll be good regardless how these mountains end up looking in the final game.
