Unfortunately, no. That's a story driven element. You can't get that sword until you beat the 8th dungeon.

Here's my best tip for the dark wasteland. Stop trying to fight things. Dodging is your best bet, especially against those lightning fast super leevers. Also, don't forget to check for bombables and hookshot spots. It's a bit of a maze at first, but when you get enough of your map filled out, finding the end is easy enough.

Thanks for this… I made it through the wasteland in the end to level 8.

Made a little progress since my last post.

I am stuck in lv 6.  I did get the wallet upgrade (or bomb), got the boss key but can't find amulet.  I am assuming you need amulet to beat boss 6 along with getting the item that's in the waterfall since I can't see the hand monsters.  Isn't there a secret entrance in the screen with the tomb?

The amulet is in the waterfall at the top of the level. You need to bomb the left wall once u go into the waterfall.

That is ridiculous..... how am I suppose to get to the amulet if I can't see the hand monsters that come out of the wall?  I think this needs to be changed so you CAN see the hand monsters....

I had trouble with those invisible wall masters too!

My advice is this… Don't kill them… Stun them! Hookshot is your friend!

Take it slow too! Turn up the brightness on your screen.

Getting back to level 8… still having issues here:

You need the dungeon item. There's a reason the statue with the giant eye is on the other side.

I've been caught by those, too. Flying Fish didn't tell me about them when I entered that room for the first time. It was hilarious when I got caught by them. It's basically a trap, just something to overcome. They are invisible until you get the amulet, and they move fast, regardless. Joki actually has the right idea. Using the hookshot lets you stun them and, should you somehow miss, they will go right through you.

Lacking that, you can charge a spin attack and let the wall master run straight into it.

It's just another puzzle. Figuring out how to get past it is the challenge. Prove that you can solve the problem of an invisible foe and you'll be given access to an easier way of doing it, a classic Zelda puzzle reward.

On the basement floor not the sewer level where you took that screen shot look for a blue snake shooter with a key hole in it that is the elevator

Ok.  Been through the elevator.

Leads to a room on the first floor where you can go up or down.

Solved both of the puzzles there to open doors. The one to the south leads to a chest I can't open cause I don't have the big key.  The path to the north leads to another elevator… yet Im missing the key I need to activate it. Any ideas where I can find the key?

In the room with the big chest that needs the boss key, did you get a small key in there?
