When the page with all the tiles is up its annoying to scroll through it all the time if there was an input box that you could type numbers into next to the page number this would be good.hitting enter would activate the page switch.

Press 'P'.

The P should be underlined and be a click box to indicate this.

Also flipping a combo to set up Link tiles by pushing c then h this should be said somewhere also. How else would people know to do that.

You guys are derailing the topic..

There seems to be a bug with slash->next combos and step triggers. If a slash->next combo turn into a step trigger after slashing the combo, the trigger is automatically pressed and the secret doesn't happen. My step trigger has an flag 16 inherent flag. Flag 16 turns into the pressed trigger, but flags 17-31 do not trigger.

edit: sorry, it's not a bug. I did not realise, that I placed a screen flag 16 on the slash combo.

There is still a continue bug (which is in all other versions also) how if you die in a dungeon and save you start there. It should be only overworlds can be continue spots. Is there a script that can fix this?

That's a feature, not a bug icon_razz.gif

You can enable or disable continuing in the DMap editor. On the first tab of the editor, you can check "Continue here" to continue in that DMap or uncheck it to continue in the last continue-enabled DMap you were in.

I don't know about you, but even if I leave that box unchecked, Link will still continue on that DMap.

I think there is some kind of counter set when you exit the game. When i changed the location to continue it didnt matter. It may also have to do with overworld maps that arn't on map one. I've only seen it on quests i made that have multiple overworld maps.

Oh yeah, I remember that continue bug now. What I assume happens, as you suggested, is that the continue DMap/screen is set in your save file whenever you save the game. If you change it, it won't take effect until the next time you save.

When I load NSF or GBS music files into ZQuest, there is a drop-down list that lets me select
which track I want for that DMap. But I don't see a drop-down list when I load an SPC file.
I wonder if this might be a bug.

I'm still looking for a program to extract separate SPC tracks either way...

As far as I know, SPCs do not have separate tracks in a single file. Every SPC soundtrack I have downloaded has contained multiple files (one for each track).

That's what I got when I found the LttP SPC (a package of separate SPC tracks).
But for other games, I keep getting a single file with multiple tracks on it... icon_eyebrow.gif

EDIT: Your post did give me an idea which solved my problem icon_biggrin.gif
I was downloading the files as SPC instead of ZIP
ZIP created separate SPC tracks for me,
while SPC created one file containing a list of those tracks.
All I had to do was save as ZIP (or open the SPC with a ZIP program) to get the separate tracks I needed icon_biggrin.gif thanks

EDIT 2: I noticed that I can set the animation speed for the compass, but it only
works on the game screen. The animation speed I chose is ignored on the active subscreen.

I posted this in a separate topic but I'll try posting here too to see if someone can help.

I recently downloaded ZC versions 1401 and ZC 2.5 for the Mac. I have a Intel based processor and the current version of my Mac is 10.5.8. Neither work and I get the same error on both when I try to run it. This is from trying to run 2.5 RC on my Mac:

I don't know if someone can help me with this. Is it a compatibility issue with my computer? Is there something that I need to update in order to get this to work? Or is it a bug on older Intel Macs? Any help is much appreciated.

Also earlier Leopard versions of ZC do work on my Mac. I've gotten build 1201 to work fine. I haven't tried any versions in-between 2.5 and 1201 though so I don't know how high of a build works on my computer. Thanks!

ZQuest seems to have a bug in the autosave feature. Any time I'm still in the palette editor and the program autosaves, everything locks up and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete out of the editor. It happens every single time, and considering I'm doing a lot of tile and palette work, it's a major problem.

Less minor, sometimes when I exit out of the program (using the [X] icon in the top-right corner), the program closes, but the taskbar icon stays and Task Manager claims it's still using resources. I end up having to close that one by using End Process.

@Sutibu: Unfortunately, I can't fix your problem. For future reference, however, all numbered builds, beta 18, and RC 1/2 are builds of ZC 2.5 (which is the same as 2.50).

@Kurt: If autosave crashes ZQ, then all I can suggest is that you disable autosave (but leave auto-backups on).

Alright. I'm just surprised nobody else brought it up. It's happened to me with every single build of ZC I've used that features autosave, so it can't just be RC2, and I don't see any way it would just be my particular computer. It's happened so many times that you would think somebody else would be having the same problem and would have mentioned it.

I've just been making a list in Notepad of the RGB values I need, and then punching them in all at once in the editor to minimize the chance of it happening. It only happens in the palette editor, nowhere else, so I'm not exactly sure what causes it.
