Meh, Charmy never really annoyed me till Generations. "I'm a free bee! Free bee! WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!" That made me want to shoot him. Otherwise, I was indifferent towards him. Though his voice was annoying as hell in Heroes.

I do believe if i could i would've smacked the crap out of Charmy After he said This "I'm a free bee! Free bee! WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!" that was a annoying voice that I'll never forget
when i heard that voice, I quickly muted my TV..that was a bit much Sega couldn't you made him say something less stupid Sega?

I hope you mean "except for Charmy". icon_wacky.gif I've never played the game (yet) and from the little I've seen of Charmy's existence, wow... he sorely out-classes Omachao AND Navi in terms of ARGHARGHARGHness. icon_dead.gif Sooooo annooyyyiiinnngggg

How dare you. Charmy's awesome. Time for quotes.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to another episode of delusional thinking with Vector!"
"Hey Shadow! I gotta ask you somethin'. Vector told me to find five top secret disks. But like, what's a top secret disk?"
"Oh flower, pretty flower, show your face and I'll sting you!" - that one's said when you get near the flower enemies in Heroes, since context is needed.

He can be a bit annoying at times, but he's so dang adorable.

I just realized what Generations is missing. Two things, actually.

This woulda been better than the cutscene after defeating the Death Egg Mech. And then this:

I want to play this fight in 3D so badly.

First one I admit I was hoping for some kind of remix of. Second one... always thought Doomsday Zone was overrated. In 3D... it might be interesting, but eh, no loss in my opinion.

OK, so I played this again, and the sidestepping problem seems to have fixed itself. I did have Joy2Key installed, but it doesn't seem to make a difference, as I basically just assigned random keys to the buttons, and the controls were the exact same. I didn't even assign any key to the start button. However, I might hold off on playing it again for a short while, as I seem to be getting lag again. I'll probably just go and get an actual graphics card for my computer this weekend.

EDIT:OK, it appears the sidestepping bug is still existant, just not every time I play. Sometimes it happens, other it doesn't.

Just make sure your power supply can handle the video card.

Alright, so after some discussion in chat, and with the rumor that there will be DLC for Generations upcoming (GT's video review mentions it, though I'm not sure if that is a true confirmation or not), Russ and I started talking about what levels we would pick for DLC from each game, if they did indeed make a new level for each game. The lists seemed similar for the most part, but still, I felt like posting mine up and I'm curious to see what other people would pick for DLC, if you want. Anyways...

Sonic the Hedgehog - Starlight Zone
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - I really can't decide between Mystic Cave Zone and Oil Ocean Zone. Coin flip best out of three came to Oil Ocean.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - Ice Cap Zone (yes I'm counting this as separate from S&K SCREW YOU SEGA)
Sonic & Knuckles - Lava Reef Zone (but if they only allow one level from both S3&K then I pick Ice Cap Zone because I like it better and Sonic 3 needs to be represented)
Sonic Adventure - Windy Valley
Sonic Adventure 2 - Metal Harbor
Sonic Heroes - Final Fortress
Sonic '06 - Dusty Desert
Sonic Unleashed - Dragon Road (Chun-nan)
Sonic Colors - Asteroid Coaster

And in the "for fun but probably won't happen" category:

Shadow the Hedgehog - Cosmic Fall
Sonic and the Secret Rings - Evil Foundry

Some of these were careful picks, such as the ones for '06, Unleashed, and Shadow. The rest were pretty much clear choices. Well, Sonic 2 is both in a sense; it was a careful pick but both zones were clear choices, and I won't be disappointed if one shows up and not the other. icon_heh.gif

So that's my list. Anyone else have/had levels they wanted to see in Generations?

I completely agree with all your choices in the Dreamcast era. Which is basically all I can agree on since I am yet to play through any of the other games. But once I beat Sonic Generations, I think I'm gonna play through all the classic Sonics.

EDIT:Well, since I couldn't get a new graphics card this weekend, I saw no point in continuing onwards in this game deu to the lag. So instead I got all teh Red Star Rings so far, and S-Ranked all the acts. Not the challenges though. I also just finished ripping my hair out from trying to get the achievement for clearing Green Hill in under a minute.

lol, that achievement. Just spin dash a bunch of times at the beginning and towards the end. icon_razz.gif

Well since my post got deleted time to write this up again. icon_sweat.gif

What I had said was I wanted to see possible remakes of handheld levels, but I have only played and beaten Sonic 1 GG, Sonic Advance, Sonic Rush, and Sonic Colors. I would easily pick Sky Base Zone from Sonic 1, Egg Rocket from Sonic Advance, and Asteroid Coaster from Colors. VOID WISP IN 3D. I can't think of a level from Rush because honestly none of them stand out; they were all equally bad.

And then I discovered why Sonic 3, Shadow the Hedgehog, Secret Rings, and Black Knight weren't represented in Generations:

Well hot damn. I spent half an hour writing a review of the game, and it got deleted. icon_unsettled.gif

Let me sum it up in one sentence, cuz I ain't writing all that again. Bottom line, fun, but feels unfinished, 7.5/10.

Oh yeah!, forgot to say this a few days ago, I finally 100%ed the game i have to say, this was a great game, I'm glad that i bought icon_smile.gif, The game it self was great!, Review time!

1.-Story 3.5/10:
Don't get me wrong but the game does not have much of a story but. at least it had one...not much of one but it did have one icon_razz.gif

2.-Gameplay 9.8/10:
Gameplay blew me away!! The Classic stages was amazing! Pretty much Classic Sonic was what you'd suspect Good'ol classic sonic gameplay, Okay modern Sonic was just as good as classic sonic, the 3d parts of Modern Sonic was Great and all! but the 2d areas of Modern sonics levels, the controls felt a little stiff to me, but thats not hardly anything to ruin the game.

3.-Graphics 10/10
you know i have to admit the graphics was just fantastic! one thing when i first seen/played "Green hill Zone" on the demo at a walmart, I actually got a tear of joy in my eye, I was so beautiful to see, "Green Hill Zone" with the best Sonic graphics i've seen in a long time! overall the game was just plain amazing in the graphics area

4.-Music 10/10
Oh man the music...was just great and enjoyable to listen too Not much else to say about it.

5.-Overall 9.9/10
Overall this game is Very pleasing to play, it has high re-playable, even i find myself still playing after 100%ing it, I have to say it was pretty much a great sonic game! Sega has impressed me with this game, it shows when game designers put 110% in game this is what you get! A game that will blow you away!, I say if you do not have the game Don't pass it up Go Pick it up NOW!! and Enjoy a great game!.

~Final thoughts~
I wish there was more stages to the game, And I know I'm going to sound crazy...but maybe a Stage builder where you can make and share your stages online icon_biggrin.gif

I try to do a spin dash at every chance I get (where it wouldn't just use more time than it would save, of course) and try taking all the quickest paths, but half the time when I spin dash, because I press X multiple times to try to make it faster, I mess up the timing and he moves about 2 inches to the right. And I often mess up the jump near the start where you bounce off the 2 crabs and the bee to get to the higher path. I've gotten pretty close to getting it once. And when I say pretty close, I mean insultingly close. 1:00.26. It's extremely frustrating when you know that you could've done it if you were half a second faster. Of course, Omochao didn't really help the frustration, but I've turned that little runt off now.

Does the story matter that much? As far as I've seen, a Sonic game with a story tends to be terrible- I prefer my Genesis games with the old fashioned "Go kick his ass, Sonic" tendencies.
