When making a game, wording can be important. This...this does not look right.

LOL, that's pretty funny there. I hadn't thought about it myself until you pointed it out, though.

I am so loving this update. I've been playing the game non-stop since it came, and I'm enjoying both starting over fresh as well as seeing all of the new content with my already souped-up character.

Already up to Mythril armor, having angel wings, and spamming Crystal Storm every which way (though I'm working for Cursed Flames to replace it).

And the enemies, OH LORD. When I first beat the Wall of Flesh with my buddy, we made the mistake of using a spawn point we made near the Underworld, so we had to climb ALL THE WAY back up after we beat him, and we saw the Deep Corruption along the way...NOT fun with only a full suit of Jungle Armor protecting you, I'll tell you that much. Still, I persevered, got Cobalt and later my current Mythril armor, Hallowed out my base of ops, and am working to get an Adamantite drill, which is tough, considering I can't find a lot in my world for some reason. I was lucky to get enough to make the forge...

Sadly not beaten the tougher bosses yet. Me and my buddy have attempted The Twins twice, but to no avail, though he has beaten The Destroyer solo, so props to him.

I'm even doing a Let's Play of my fresh game run on my YouTube page. http://www.youtube.c...23?feature=mhee

I beat the wall of flesh solo but died at the same time and didnt get the hammer so now ive got curruption everywhere and i cant get the new metals so i have to beat it again. It took me about ten trys the first time. flameranging and weak deamon scythe spells kill it.

I have attempted the Wall of Flesh three times at this point, and have not come close to beating it. The second time was the most successful, removing about half of its life. It takes quite a strategy, even with the best items available up to that point, except that I don't have the Star Cannon.

Managed to off the Wall of Flesh by taking the cheap route: built a loooooooooooooooooooong (spanning about half of the map in a medium-sized world) single-tile-tall platform of random blocks I had on me in the underworld and Sunfury'd the thing to death. I just used potions as often as I could, wearing the Shadow armor. Didn't even need to use buff potions, just healing ones. Predictable terrain makes it that much easier.

Also, if you set up a spawn point lower in the world and don't want to climb back up, destroy the bed at said point and toss it in a chest or something. Afterward, using the mirror should send you back to the original spawn point from when the world was generated.

In addition, if you want an easier time finding ore or various items, roll a small world. Drop rates (of rare-ish items like vines) and occurrences of ores are usually increased in small worlds (within the bounds of the deviation caused by being procedurally generated.)

I pulled it off after three or four tries. I built a bridge to assist me from not dying miserably, but brought a few buffs with me just in case. Originally I was using the Star Canon. While powerful, I don't really feel like getting enough stars after each failed attempt. So I switched to a combination of the Star Fury and the Phoenix Blaster while wearing Necro Armour and had it down fairly quickly. I honestly thought that I should have waited or something. It's a wee overwhelming right now. icon_xd.gif

I had a vine whip (With full jumping gear) and a Minishark with full silver bullets to help me through the Wall of Flesh. I started in the middle of the (small) map, and ended right on the very right-most edge. Took a while. @ @. I didn't even think to prepare. I didn't think it would be that rough.

The corruption spreads VERY fast. Like, wow. Luckily, Hallows spreads fast too.

I'm taking my time before attempting hardmode to play with a few new things.

Collecting Dart Traps has definitely been extremely helpful so far. I can't even tell you how many times having dart traps as a defense mechanism has saved my life so far. I've set up numerous "safe-houses" (Glorified phone booths) with dart traps outside of it pointing away from it to attack approaching enemies.

We died numerous times fighting the Wall of Flesh on my server last night, but we finally got it and destroyed all the demon alters we could see. Stuff just got RIDICULOUSLY hard. Like the damage increase you take from enemies is way beyond what it should be, and I'm wearing full Cobalt already DX. Put our main base in the Hallow, and randomly planted some Hallow seeds across the surface. Does the Hallow overtake the Corruption, or no? We have like a small chunk of Corruption inbetween two Hallows.

Also, we were trying to build a Sky Tower on our base, and a WYVERN kept coming and owning the hell out of us, and even came way down into the base and killing NPCs :/.

Yeah, those wyverns are pretty nasty. (Though for some reason, I just can't take them as seriously as I ought to...) You need to go outside and fight them with your rocket boots to take their gradual curves in stride. Fly with them, ahead of where they're headed, so you can make the necessary course adjustments to fire at their head.

Something to consider: You can spread the Hallow on every dirt surface you see, but the corruption also spreads underground. You could have a "tip of the iceberg" scenario on your hands extremely easily. You have to really, really dig underground around any Corrupted areas.

Also, get yourself some holy water. It's pixie dust and a bottle of water. Gives 5 Holy Water. Seriously hoarde that stuff. It's REALLY useful.

In case nobody knew of it yet, best set your calendars for December 15th. There's a good chance of snow in Terraria.~
