Well done Dorain. It is a rare thing to even talk about completing Armageddon Quest or Armageddon Quest forever. You join an elite club.

You have beaten the second most difficult quest ever made. The first being the original Armageddon Quest heh! And then there will be my quest which is about 1/4 made but will soon be ready...

I was once going to make a quest called "Armageddon Quest". Had nothing to do with this game though. I was actually halfway done with it when the original AQ came back. Pretty much... it was the original LOZ with no one at all. No people, no monsters. Hyrule was completed destroyed. Then the story takes off a little more after you complete the triforce.

I'm an old skool player and I don't imagine I'd want to meddle with the enemies. In fact, I've just recently decided that the additional items like hookshoot, lens and superbombs were an OK add-on. I'll keep it to familiar territory in my quest.

But you're right about one thing, something needs to be done with the triforce. In most quests, getting the triforce only means that you can enter level 9. Big deal. Where's the power in that?

Though a lot of key needed in level max,didn't you get magical key ?

the final boss wasn't so "customized" after all...
but the graphics for the dark wolf are good (why dark wolf btw?)
and this last boss wasn't difficult, here is the problem (it took me 2 potions but no death)
that was a great quest ! now it's AQoriginal's turn to be beaten

yes, i know HiddenDuality and it's quite insane too,
I'm still playing level 7 with ~110 death
I think the quest in which I died the most after yours is the original megaman DR.willy's revanche with ~185 deaths.

By the way,how about my quest's story ?

edit: okay i found the magical key... with clues.
in fact, i expacted something like a block of water, but when i looked for one i didn't found
it's only when the guy told me about it than i noticed it

Your maps are pretty sweet. Hopefully you get the overworld one out soon. I need all the help I can get!

I couldn't transfer the save file... so I had to start from scratch. Just finished Level 1. I hope to find some power-ups before hitting Level 2.

it's... difficult.
maybe you can get lv2 sword in level 3 (gamble dungeon) but other items i won't help you much getting the bow
you'll need 5 keys in that dungeon (to get lv2 sword)
you should go get the 999 rupees wallet in forest restaurant, just try and you'll get a key. also there are some keys you can get from other dungeons (ice palace for example) and use them in lv3. also a secret shop in the overworld : go >^^^(^) and bomb the mountain here to find cheaper keys.

OUCH!, i'm playing AQ original and i can't kill manhandla with 5 hearts (and i generally only have 4 left since i can't reach that heart becase of lack of kets which i ised for the front doors)
i'll try harder later

also, have to make the map, two days without updates...

I don't recommend you try to get the wallet too early in the game unless you are *REALLY* patient and *REALLY* good at dodging. Maybe after getting the firerang you can try again. You can also beat the first four levels without purchasing any key and running into any truly impossible challenges. As for the white sword, you can purchase keys and get it early, but that's nOOb.

To kill the manhandla with 5 hearts and no items you must think very carefully about your strategy Dorian. Wound each arm 3 times with a sword beam before going for any kill. If you lose your sword beam early, its sayonara Link... Sword beams are crucial to killing that thing.

the first time i'm sure it took me 100 tries
when i replayed for the maps I get it after the 3rd try... it's just a matter of training. And the key is in the 2nd room

True enough. In AQ, you must do everything in your power to survive. Do everything and anything you can. This is not like other quests where you can "take a handicap" to make it harder.

Yes without losing half a heart. Take a sip of medicine before you lose your items. And then, if you are really pro player, you can get to the manhandla without losing even half a heart.

Otherwise, you'll need a key to restore your health before beating it.

Very nice. You'll be wanting to the an additional heart from the bow/arrow game after that before trying to kill the boss. Good luck.

By the way, you can get the triforce without killing the boss, but its kinda worthless except for getting into level 9.
