Bought Megaman 6 off the eShop a little after it came out last week and beat it today. Was better than I remember, really good, had some great stage design and neat ideas with the Rush adapter. ... might have enjoyed it a little better than 3 possibly. *hides from the bricks*

Finally got Hype_Dogs for PS4. I have to say...I'm not really expecting much from this game. I'll share you my opinions very soon. Next week is Danganronpa 2. SpacemanDan, we should race to see who can get the Platinum trophy first :D

Recent purchases include Megaman 4, Freedom Planet, and Azure Striker Gunvolt, the latter coming with the free copy of Mighty Gunvolt.

Megaman 4 needs no explanation.

Freedom Planet is an indie game dedicated to recapturing the spirit of the Genesis era, namely Sonic the Hedgehog. It has fitting graphics and music from what I've seen and heard, and I'm looking forward to checking it out soon.

Azure Striker Gunvolt is a newer game by Inti Creates, the minds behind many of the more-recent 2D Megaman games and who are also helping develop Mighty No. 9. I'm not sure how well I can explain it, so I'll link this video: https://www.youtube....h?v=t9Os5LFW-C8

Mighty Gunvolt is an 8-bit game for free, it's a crossover between Gunvolt, Mighty No. 9, and a Japanese-only Inti Creates game called Gal*Gun. It's only available for three months after Gunvolt's release, but is a fun little love letter to the old Megaman games, though it's very short and easy. I played and beat it already with Beck and will probably go back and try again with the other two characters at some point. Trailer here: https://www.youtube....h?v=yLnrtZPqyIw

These oughta tide me over until Hyrule Warriors nicely.

For some reason I'm on an Assassin's Creed marathon, currently working my way through Brotherhood. It's weird how these games become simpler and easier by the yearly releases; in AC2, combat was relatively challenging, forcing you to look at opponents reactions and timing your counters, and you can't kill them instantly unless they're a weak enemy or they've got low health. In Brotherhood, counters are made easier by giving you more reaction time, as well as showing a little symbol over the enemy when they're about to hit you, and on top of that you can insta-kill any enemy nearby directly after a counter just by hitting them once, and if you keep the chain rolling without getting hit (aka spamming the attack button) you'll keep killing em one by one until one of them lands a hit - if one of them lands a hit.

Revelations didn't dumb it down any further as far as I know, compared to Brotherhood, but in AC3 and up, things are even worse, and the combat has almost turned into a quick time sequence. That's why I fight with my bare hands in 3 and up. Not that it makes it much harder, but at least you can disarm the enemy before smacking them in the face, which does at least feel a little too good.

Put Shovel Knight on a flash drive, and was playing it on a borrowed computer for a little bit. I hadn't gotten past the second set of stages yet, so I don't have too much to have to redo. It's a bit difficult to go from playing with a controller to using the keyboard, and it got me killed on Spectre Knight's stage when I had to hop across the graves above the water in a secret area for treasure. I was destroying the save points too, for added loot, so I decided to be done for a bit instead of giving it another shot.

Also, this desk isn't the best for playing games via keyboard. My wrists are killing me.

Completed Azure Striker Gunvolt, quite the good game, though the final boss was a bit of a pain but felt so satisfying to defeat, which is always a good thing.

I've also been making some progress in Megaman 4 on Wii U, for the most part it's better than I remember in all aspects, soundtrack included, but Drill Man's stage is kind of a pain. Mainly just for one of its gimmicks, rocks that drop from ceilings and spew debris everywhere, which can be tough to avoid and there's barely any time between another rock falling to make it through without damage. Otherwise it's about as solid as I remember.

Made a little more progress in Freedom Planet as well and definitely enjoying it.

Speaking of Shovel Knight, I've also started New Game+ in that game. Been pretty fun so far, not too bad yet, but I'm sure that'll pick up in later levels. Eventually I'll need to go and find all the music sheets in my original file (and my NG+ file too) so I can consider it 100% after I've beaten NG+ mode.

And at some point I should probably try to pick back up one of the following: Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. U, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, or Sonic Lost World. I need to stop leaving games in limbo. :(

Been playing Samurai Warriors 3 to death.

This is probably my favorite Warriors game, though, Hyrule Warriors may be the judge of that.

So far: I've beaten Nobunaga Oda's Story, I've beaten Hanbei Takanaka's story, and I'm very close to beating Sakon Shima's story.

So, this is technically not what I've been playing, but more what I will be playing...

Anyway, I'm planning on buying the game Destiny for the PS4 the day it comes out (September 9th). I've played the beta for the game and I've got to say that I'm really impressed so far. I can't wait to play it. :D

Oh, and as a side note to those that watch videos from my YouTube channel, I probably will be recording myself playing Destiny and uploading the videos. ;)

Beat Megaman 4 again today. As I said above, as solid as I remember, with only Drill Man's stage being one of the lower points. But it was definitely a very good game, even though Ring Boomerang was used as a weakness in the Cossack/Wily stages too much. Even the music was better than I remember, though I wouldn't call it one of the best soundtracks. Solid title.

Been playing a little more Freedom Planet as well, and still pretty enjoying it.
