Since I'm going Portugal later today, I might as well start off playing A Link Between Worlds on Hero Mode. Because why not? lol

So today on Dark Souls:
-I got a couple of level ups, I am now level 40.
-I got a crapton of loot.
-I found a few new areas.
-I got cursed for the first time.
-Aaaaand getting cursed found me my first major complaint with the game. In order to get uncursed, one of 2 things has to happen: You have to use a Purging Stone or talk to Ingward. Purging Stones cost quite a bit of souls to buy, so I decide to go and look for Ingward, only problem is, he's in a dangerous place filled with Monsters. In other words, anytime you want to cure your curse, you have to buy a super expensive stone, or go deep into an area full of monsters, just to talk to some guy. And the worst part is, in the parts of the game where you can get cursed, it's rather easy to get cursed. And Curse doesn't just do one little thing, nope, it does a ton of stuff to make playing the game difficult, including less HP, and the inability to turn back into a human.
Well, I'm done ranting, I'm about 99% sure everyone disagrees with me, but it's still annoying.

I went back to Tales of Xillia trying to complete Milla's Story and maybe even go for the Platinum. I need to get that Tales spirit pumping before Tales of Xillia 2 comes out on August 19th.

Just started playing Romancing SaGa 3, and holy christ, this is a good RPG. Very rarely, have I seen an RPG this open ended.

Defeated Yunalesca in Final Fantasy X HD. She wasn't that hard. Just cast Hastega + Reflect on your party right before she turns your party into Zombies. When her Regen gets deflected back to her, have someone cast Dispel. I just had Yuna and Auron hit her hard as much as they can. In her third form, just make sure you have at least one zombie and then use Phoenix Down/Mega Phoenix to revive any KO'ed units. I only cure teammates from Zombie when they are low on HP and need to recover. Once she has less than 20k HP, just have Yuna go into Overdrive and finish her off with a Grand Summoned Bahamut.
I also started a game called Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f on the PSVita. It's a very popular rhythm game over in Japan. This game is VERY challenging. It's like the Dark Souls of rhythm games. I'm struggling on Normal mode. It's like the equivalent to Guitar Hero/Rock Band's Expert mode. It's still a very fun game though.

Finally reached Chapter 7 in Bravely Default. Man the difficulty spiked big time. I think I should max out my party to Level 99. lol
Also, I got pretty good deal on the Wii U version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut for Wii U. I wonder how well it plays with Gamepad utilization? I also heard this version performs much better than the PS3/360 versions just no 60FPS like the PC version.

I just started Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut on the Wii U and I am hooked. The use of the Gamepad on this version is amazing so far. Stealth is a lot better with the Gamepad because the minimap is more detailed which makes pinpointing enemy movement a lot easier and precise. Plus, navigating through menus is much easier on the Gamepad since they are mapped as shortcut buttons on the screen and you have some nice Phantom Hourglass inspired features such as writing notes on your map. So far, I'm liking what I'm seeing on this version of Deus Ex.

WILL YOU STOP TRYING TO DIG THE ROCK?
Shovel Knight is been pretty solid so far. It's like Zelda II with a shovel. Who would have thought digging would be so much fun! ^_^
Mmm, it's a pretty short game if you're pretty good at platformers, great fun the whole way through though. There's more content getting added over time, for free, as well which should beef up replayability a fair bit.

Well, they did completely overhaul the mechanic in the sequel so that it still converts you from Human to Undead but it no longer kills you. There's a separate Petrification status now that can insta kill you but there's a Ring that largely negates the effect.

On that note, I'm still going through Etrian Odyssey 2. Made it to floor 29 (though I still need to properly explore 27 and 28), with all the bonus bosses defeated with the exception of Briareus and Ur-Child. I still need to re-fight the bonus bosses for their conditional drops (and Drake once more after for his normal drop since Drake's a jerk and didn't drop anything. x3) which will be (hopefully) the bulk of difficulty in getting 100%. We'll see though.

Almost done with Bravely Default. Obliterate is OP. Now normal battles don't require effort for EXP and JP.

So yeah I got Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D from the Club Nintendo Platinum reward...
I've found a game I despise more than any other game in my collection which includes Metroid: Other M and PMD: Gates to Infinity. I'd seriously trade this game away if I had the option to. Unfortunately, it's digital. What a shame.

I finally beat Herodotus in Rogue Legacy. My secret? Two Grace Runes, a Barbarian King, and the combination of a crappy computer and the massive slowdown caused by the Nearsighted trait. I simply tanked while playing at practically frame-by-frame to dodge stuff that would normally take miracles to avoid. Now, I just have to find and defeat Ponce de Leon before I can take on the final area.
If I had been smart from the beginning and focused on a particular setup instead of dabbling in one of everything to see what would unlock, I might be having much less of a hard time with this game. Now, my main strategy has devolved into searching for all the Fairy Chests since once they run out of Runes to give me, I'll start getting straight stat upgrades for free. I also tend to focus on physical attacks, so I'm sticking a majority of my gold into Defense, Attack, and Carry Capacity so that I can wear the armor upgrades I unlock.

A few pointers:
- The Crystal Ball (Great Cave Offense, Treasure #5) can be obtained in Singleplayer, though it can be rather tedious to get done - You have to go all the way into Crystal area and get the Bomb ability in order to exeecutue it.
- The helpers get infinite jumping abilitiy in Helper to Hero, making them better than Kirby himself
- Bonker`s firey flip is insanely overpowered in Helper to Hero. Bugzzy has attacks that rival Bonker`s FF in power, but they are much harder to execute properly.
- Tac`s improved Guard is extremely broken. It evades pretty much everything.
