I can't seem to progress in the ruin of miracles because all path lead to a dead end, can anybody show some other entrances to the ruins

You need the flippers which you get in level 4.

Bottom of the desert world map there's a skull and a pit there. That pit leads to the boss key.

Currently I am on Tower of Heaven Floors 23/24. On floor 23 there appear to be two pass through walls that are impassable on the other side. One is north of the owl statue surrounded by four eye statues. The other is south of the compass/crystal room. I can pass through the wall on one side but then arrive stuck inside the wall on the other side. Are these working as intended or is it a glitch? The one above the owl statue seems extremely suspect because it is the only way out of the area to the north without resetting or dying.

There are meant to make you go through them and end up one tile above the wall just like level 7. So those are 2.55 bugs. I would just use cheat "4" to make those work as intended until a update happens.

Regarding rings and engine damage combos: there is a setting in Screen Data dialog that allows toggling ring ignorance for damage combos on per screen basis. In 2.53 it`s named "Toggle Rings Affect Combos", in 2.55+ - "Toggle Rings Affect Damage Combos".

Got stuck trying to find the boss key for Ruins of Miracles. The owl statue says "search a giant skull in the desert". But none of those 1x2 skulls scattered everywhere in desert didn`t even getting me closer to finding it.

2 screens below the warping tree in the desert is the one you need to fall in the pit.

Whoops I was stupid, checked subscreen, boss key was already in my inventory. That owl statue near the boss door made me completely stumped. He said "Boss Key cannot be obtained by normal means". This made me think that boss key for this dungeon is completely out of dungeon`s gimmick handling, requiring to think outside the box, yet the boss key actually was hidden in mapped location, fully inside the "box", on top of that, pit under the skull was marked with quicksand conveyors, like other pits that lead into this dungeon.

Anyway, finished level 7. That was truly eldritch place with randomly placed sidewarps. I wish there would be spacebar maps for caverns and dungeons, considering their sprawling, maze-like structure.
