The only thing I'm a bit bothered by is the seeming lack of backwards compatibilty ,but who knows, we might finally get GameCube virtual console games

Also, I must chime in. Why does everything have to turn into a giant argument? I understand it to a certain degree, but starting these hot headed conversations just really bothers me. Can't you guys be positive about anything? Jeez. It gets old to see the negativity on this site in almost every single thread.
More happy, less fighty.
I think you might be overreacting a touch here. Everyone seems positive about the system itself, just some are debating the finer aspects. I don't really see any arguments here, least of all a giant one. No one's really being hotheaded either. There's been a lot of positivity in this thread too. Cheer up a bit, almost all of us are excited for this system. ![]()

Pretty much, we criticize because we care and want them to succeed. If we just accepted everything at face value, Nintendo would never have gotten as far as they have and evolved.
I should end my note on 3rd party exclusives by saying, I don't think they'd be absolutely mandatory for the system to succeed, but it would definitely help their case positively in selling the console itself, if they can get a good number of great titles in that department. In fact, I'd love to see a port of 3D Dot Game Heroes on it actually, because it's stuck on the PS3, and that is among only 3 or 4 other titles I want on the system, and that's it.

I think it's pretty fantastic that we're living in an age where graphic fidelity is more dependent on the screen we're using than the console output.

In a perfect world, you could somehow prove you have physical copies of the games, then you'd be able to download them on the Switch via eShop.

Uhm, excuse me, preeeettttty sure the best level is KARNATH'S LAIR. How can you not enjoy the WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUB of the snakes goddammit
Also GC virtual console would be like about time and the worst (or best?) about time for me when I basically have every GC game I want now anyway.

I hope they do do a GC virtual console though. You know why? Who the fuck is going to shell out $200+ dollars for Four Swords Adventures?

If there really are analogue triggers, then they could feasibly do Gamecube Virtual Console. And there better be analogue triggers, because taking those away was a step backwards. Also, if those are USB ports on the dock, they could make the GCN controller adapter work during docked mode. Not that they will, because that thing was criminally-underused on Wii U.

I hope those are USB. It'll be nice once the system is hacked to be able to run games off of USB.

I wanna play that too. I also have no idea why Sonic Mania wasn't an NS title. It makes me ![]()

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is over $200 AUD at Game Traders if it's in reasonable condition. I believe this is partly because the Australian version was a more limited release than the American/European version.

For the game itself yes, because it's so rare now. It's insane how much the price is jacked up. So most people are probably just emulating it at this point, lol. But what if they give it the same treatment as FS GBA, and make an anniversary edition?
