Also replaying this quest again, there are way too many design flaws. Just because this is a challenge quest doesn't mean you have to make this extremely buggy.

Goriya, I never said that its possible to beat LoH without dying.  If I did, can you find me the post where I said that?  I remember saying that it wasn't possible to 0 game this quest.

You guys have no sense of novelty or humour do you?  I designed that death knight with the arrow as an original idea and a novelty.  Also, it was to prevent players from 0 gaming LoH - just as a bit of fun.  "See?  Didn't I say that you'd have to die in this quest...haha".  People say that I have no originality coz I borrowed some ideas off OUCH!  But here you go, an original idea - never seen in any other Zelda Quest before (well at least the ones I've played).

In LoH:IE, this death knight holding item and crashing idea will remain - but it will be possible to get 0 health and not die.  You will see.  People who I've sent the quest to as beta, I'd prefer it if you didn't blurt it out - ruin the surprise.  I won't be able to say that you can't zero game it anymore but this idea is so cool it has to be put in.

@Charizard - once again, I say to you, if you cannot tell me exactly where you claim there are bugs, design flaws or unfair difficulty is then I'm not going to listen to them and I won't be modifying LoH: IE to accomodate for those claims.  If you think LoH is so bad, why can't you stay off the quest?  Instead you're replaying the quest!  I must have done a good job if my critics keep replaying my quest over and over again despite saying its so bad.

And whatever happened to the quest that you and Moosh were working on?  I'd like to see your "perfect" quest design.

Every where... The deathknight rooms are just a joke. Death knights shouldn't appear before you have at least the hammer, nayru's love. Even with the gold ring and 20 hearts a death knight can still knock you down to size easily.

Referring to the first part, I said I had no evidence of that in my initial post. I was only stating what I could've sworn I've seen you say about a year or so ago.

Now then, the second part of this post. You could have just said "I designed that death knight with the arrow as an original idea and a novelty," and it would've just been fine, but the statements that it's between are kind of, for lack of a better word, dumb. I mean, you're pretty much insulting a lot of people by saying that they have no sense of novelty or humor. That's not true at all, we just hate the idea of forced death. Which brings me to my next point. The point of the posts above yours was to tell you that forced death is really bad design for challenges, or even jokes to be brutally honest.

tl;dr, Forced death =/= Humor

Whenever I die outside the windmill area, I re-spawned in the Windmill area with the palette/midi/dmap title changed. Also, the Lost Woods screen with the walkable NPC solider, I can clip into the blue/palm trees on the left side in the windmill screen. Really obvious things like this. That was only two minutes in by the way, I might possibly break more of the quest if I tried. I got screens for proof, but I rather not touch this quest for a while.

Also that last statement was so toxic to my eyes. There is no such thing as "perfect" design. But there is a thing where people put actual effort into the design and making it bug free. This quest lacks it, and I'm pointing that out. But it seems like the Challenge Quest genre means you can be lazy with that, so I'll shut up.

" If you think LoH is so bad, why can't you stay off the quest?"

Because at the end of the day, I'm trying to help you improve. If I wanted to bash this quest, I would of not said anything that would have been helpful at all. I would of just said this quest was god damn awful in difficulty and design and never would of have responded to you.

I have humor. Check out swag.qst or something. Humor shouldn't affect me mental health, thank you. I like my hair brown, not grey.

I enjoy the idea, but this quest is too difficult for me. :)

I actually just came by to say, that using the enemy editor to create new enemies sounds like a great idea to me. If you fear that players would have to "learn" these new enemies, then how about doing something like a tutorial that explains all the new enemies? I can't help but say, that new enemies to keep the fun of the challenge fresh and innovative sounds great.

Not only this, but adding new enemies to IE would probably make it even harder. It would add an element of the unknown that the player would have to learn to adapt to and more elements the player would have to remember.

Any plans to add a wind dungeon to IE? I know wind is probably a bit too forgiving for you, but with the added power of scripting you can make it unforgiving. Like have a dungeon where the wind takes you to another part of the dungeon with a different continue point that you have to play through every time you get winded to progress. :D

This would probably drive me mad, but dammit I freaking love wind.

Also on the subject of why we keep coming back, I know for me it's that I'm just a sucker for challenge. Even if it's not a reasonable challenge, even if I know it's not a fair challenge, even if I know in the back of my head that it's not worth it, I just can't stop. I think by now I might have played this quest more than some of my own quests...Can we have a Zelda Classic intervention?

Can I be a beta tester for the new Liberation? I am currently on a no cheat run on liberation (I have cheated before, and I am only noticing the difficulty now that I am no longer cheating. Definitely atleast a little harder than Armageddon, or twice as hard). Or are you done accepting beta testers?

Or... (hear me out here) ... you could poke a bunch of holes in some parachutes and then jump out of a plane and see if you can not die.

Guess which one would be easier? :P

I think James stated somewhere before in this thread that if anyone wanted to contact him they should email him. )Unless he now gets email notifications or something, in that case nevermind)

Oh man, that's intense.  Makes the original kind of tame in comparison.  All you man, will be interesting to see what stuff got cranked up a few notches

I'm honestly pretty disappointed by the new game :/ It's way too similar to the first one, just rehashed as harder.

There was a lot of room for cool creative hard ideas but the game seems to be too content with its past iteration.
