Gee, thanks! (-blushes-)

It just so happens that I re-did the shadows behind the pillars so it looks exactly like how you did it.

I hadn't done solid lines for the balcony shadow because I was trying to go for how it would look with clouds out. But I see your point. I am going for an improved classic style, so it's probably best I use solid shadows.

About the balcony shadow, it's probably not obvious that the balcony extends as far as it does. I wanted to make sure you could still see the door, so the building ended up looking tall. So, it didn't make sense to have a short shadow. That being said, though, it doesn't have to be as long as I have it. I'll work on that (and remove the scattered pixel shading). I'll post the result here. (Can't get to it this second, maybe later tonight.)

Edit: I figured I should not double-post, so here it is:

I guess it's way too late to replace the one posted in SotW, if replacements could even be done at all. Bummer. Well, at least my screen looks better, eh? (And no, I'm not Canadian. icon_smile.gif )

This week I'm working on something special. I am attempting to make my greatest Classic screen ever using all of my new tiles and work. I'll have it finished by Sunday.

Entered a screen from my quest in 334, it's just a classic-style tileset though

I entered a new screen for 334. This is my first time using Pure, and it doesn't have anything abnormal or "gimmicky". I personally like it quite a bit, and I spent a long time on the design and the palette (although the palette is quite conservative. Aka no pinks or purples).

I just entered my shot. I have to say, I think this is the best screen I've ever made with the Classic set. I hope you all agree! I've brought all my work together with this screen, with the hopes of success. Thank you everyone for your support in helping me make this Classic set!

If William is claiming that this is especially good classic work, then we're sure to see some incredible work indeed! I'm looking forward to it!

Actually, I'm only claiming that I think it looks good compared to my past Classic work. If you don't like my past work, you probably won't like this either. However, if you're a fan of my work, I think you might like this. icon_smile.gif

I just checked, and after this week's SotM, we will have enough SotM entrees to start up Screen Shot of the Year 2010/2011! I'm very excited now. Also, because of the two different winners for SotW 333, there will be enough entrants to start a SotM. In other words, starting today, there should be enough shots to start a Screen Shot of the Week, Screen Shot of the Month, and Screen Shot of the Year!

Just wondering, are we starting 334 today, or are we putting thee two winners vs each other? :\

As you can probably tell by now I went ahead and made 334. The last time that we had two SotW's, I let both winners go on to SotM, and I saw no reason to mess with that pattern.

Well, there are a few options with handling Screenshot of the Year. In the past they've been generally held at the end of a year regardless of the number of shots (ideally 12). The only reason I didn't hold it last year was that there were an abysmal number of shots (5/6 if I recall correctly). I was planning on waiting until the end of December this year and having a massive 2010/2011 contest; then we'd take care of everything in the past two years and be back on schedule for the years to come. I'm open to other suggestions if enough people want to do other things, though.

I'd prefer to do it now, as there is the perfect amount of shots, and I think this would more accurately judge the better screens rather than if we waited until the end of the year. (If we waited until then, some good screens that could've won SotY might be passed over because there will be so many shots.) My vote says put up SotY now, so that we can start moving towards a new one. (The longer we wait, the longer it'll be until we can do a Screen Shot of the Decade icon_razz.gif)

I may find time to enter later this week; I'm not really sure. I'll post when I enter (if I do).
