Why does it look gross? I think it's amazing. Everything is hand-drawn beautifully.

That's awesome. I love how they actually move, rather than just sit there and launch projectiles. The way the camera angle moves in battle is pretty neat too. And the way the people actually move in the city... wow. It's actually... realistic...

It's all stuff they should've done years ago icon_razz.gif!...not saying they aren't cool, but they could've pulled that stuff off since Crystal. Every Pokémon animated on it, with more than 2 frames per Pokémon. So yeah, they're late icon_razz.gif!

Alright, since I have been playing Pokemon since it began and caught quite the many of the current 493 official Pokemon, I thought I'd may as well give my two cents on this entire thing.

First, I am glad they're coming out with a new generation, and despite what a lot say or think (though I do respect opinions, it doesn't mean I have to agree to all of them), a lot of people whine and say newer Pokemon look like crap. I beg to differ, as I have favorites from all four current generations. Okay, I admit the third generation was somewhat lackluster in it's Pokemon choice (besides Flygon, Absol, and Metagross, my faves from that generation), it was still a fun generation. I will always love the first and second gens the most though, with the fourth coming next up.

Now onto Black and White themselves. Honestly, I think the names "Ebony" and "Ivory" would sound more interesting as titles, but that's just me. As for what's been shown so far, the game looks to be quite interesting what with the fully 3D towns and stuff, and yet most of the game still seems to keep the top-down view we all love with Pokemon games. I'm guessing the new region this is taking place in seems to be more technologically sound than the previous ones.

I for one love the new Trainer's looks. The guy doesn't look like some scrawny kid, and the girl looks like a real adventurer. The starters...okay, I admit, I'm a little iffy about them. I hope that like with the generation two starters that they stay as pure Grass, Fire, and Water types instead of becoming dual types, but I'll take what I can get. I'll probably go against what I usually do and pick the Grass starter (I usually pick the Fire one).

That said, I'm interested to know how they do with this generation, and how it's going to change how Pokemon battles are done.

It's kind of nice to see the NPCs actually get out of your way. icon_smile.gif

I WANT JAPANESE ANNOUNCERS TO SHOUT OVER MY SHOULDER WHILE I PLAY THE GAME OOOING AND AHHHING ****.

I think the waggling back and forth would get kinda annoying after while, but for now... HOLY **** YES. Looking like it's gonna be a good generation.

I wonder if they're going to release a new set of battle cries for the old 493 Pokemon? Apparently reviewers hate the 8-bit cries.

Yeah. I hate when you're trying to walk and an NPC jumps right out in front of you, then, sometimes, when you try to go around them, they jump in that direction again. Sometimes they even do it one more time before you can get around them. It's annoying. >:O

Screw those reviewers. The old cries are great. The only problems I have are in Gen I where some Pokémon share cries: Charizard and Rhyhorn, Caterpie and Goldeen for example.

I agree with TS, it's annoying. Personally, I think they should use the updated cries from Pokemon Stadium. Those ones sounded great, while still sounding like the originals.

Also, while we're on the subject of cries, Deoxys needs a new one. His current one is just an edit of Articuno's, which bugs me.

He said that they shouldn't be changed, in what universe is that agreeing with him?

Anyway, yeah, I find the old cries a little annoying. Seriously, with some of the new pokemon, it sounds like they're saying their name, like in the anime. Rattatta sounds like he's saying "Shnx" only much faster. However, I never noticed that some cries are the same.

No I think they should use the cries from the show. Imagine hearing "Pi-pikachu" when they attack and stuff.
