Sounds like a great idea.

However, I'm pretty much satisfied with the normal practice mode. Nothing's better to me than lining up three Ganondorfs with full damage and sending a Green Shell through them. icon_superevil.gif

I'm just hoping that they'll up the difficulty from SSBM. I could usually kill a level 9 on 5 stock without taking more than about 50% damage. Absolutely pitiful. icon_frown.gif

Actually, I find that level 8 is harder to kill. Because level 9 just tires to kick the crap out of you, while the 8 actually uses some other kind of strategies.

You're preaching to the choir, my friend. I've had to resort to team-gaming them. I'll take on any two people on a team against me on any stage and usually only lose about one life, if even. Three is a liiittle bit tough, though I've done it before. Against real people though, not CPU's. They're just nasty. ._o'

I've actually heard that the level 7 Ness is the toughest of the Nesses, but I've never really seen it when I played him.

I have a brother and a sister, both of whom are worse than me, so they have to team up to face off against me. I usually get whooped, but I sometimes scrap out a win.

I do hope to see a YouTube video of this. Would be very nice. Who do they play as, generally? (Yourself as well.) Also, I've never heard of the 7-8 range of AIs having alternative skills and tactics. I should take a look at them tonight. Thanks. o.o

I've set the standard in SSBM at trying to beat Lv.9 Ganon and Lv.9 Captain Falcon, and a Lv.8 Ganon, with a 5 stock. I have yet to actually do it, but hey, it's good to have goals.

As far as SSBB, I'm still holding it out fo Tom Nook to be in the game. Or perhaps LoLo and LaLa. That would just make my day.

Well, seeing as how I've no way to record this, it's highly unlikely. I ALWAYS play as Marth (which is more of a detriment when facing more than one player) my sister ALWAYS plays as Shiek (but never Zelda) and my brother will play as Pikachu, Roy, Link, or Young Link. I can beat them both VERY badly one-on-one, but when they team up, it gets MUCH harder. Unless I'm playing Brinstar Depths, because they suicide all the time on that one. icon_razz.gif

I've been upping my game as Marth recently, and here's a fine set of tips for you.

1) Practice doing Marth's Fair (That's Forward+Air - Jump, and do a C-Stick forward or hold forward and press A. You get the idea.) multiple times in the same jump. If you can get it to three times in a row, you're good.

2) Learn to attack as well backwards as forwards. Marth has some incredible moves available to him that few would expect coming from that direction. His Bair move is devastating if you're moving along with your target, because if the person is moving towards you, you can Bair him when you're close, and if he's shying away from you in midair, you can Dair him (AWESOME.) when you're closer to the ground with him, and since it has a wider range, you're bound to hit him anyway. Good stuff!

3) You know to use the Forward+B move once every moment (Not entering the chain.) to get back onto a platform from midair. It's a must. Just be sure to do the opening move at the VERY Peak of the jump. If done right, you'll actually rise slightly farther when you do it rather than immediately angling downward when you do the opening move in the chain. Do practice this timing and angle.

4) When you're about to land on a platform, do a Quick Forward+B in the direction you want to land. It's easier than L-Canceling, and it can clear you up a nice space.

5) Short hop. Short Hop CONSTANTLY. Some of Marth's best attacks are Aerial attacks. If you're looking for a nice SHFFL Combo, do the SH towards a person, immediately Dair, L-Cancel, and Smash in the other direction, assuming you're now on the opposite side of the person. You can also SH the other way, facing away from the person, (Though still SH'ing towards them.) when you're close enough, you can do your Dair (With the insanely long range sweeping in back of Marth..) and actually land Behind them to do your Smash OR GRAB. If you grab, just either Smash or poke them away.

6) You *MUST* Learn to Wavedash as Marth. It's CRITICAL. Far moreso than with any other character. Thankfully, he has a pretty darn good wavedash. A good move to use with his wavedash is his downward Smash. You wavedash in and instantly hit C-Down. Then Roll to their other side, and try to grab.

7) If you're facing some edge-guarding bastards while you're hanging from the edge, let go of the ledge with down or <opposite direction>, do a quick Forward+B to orient yourself if you have to, and either Up+B or Down+B, depending on which you need more. Seems to work for me. icon_shrug.gif Alternate if you have to.

Good luck! icon_kawaii.gif

YES! It looks like you can grab and carry with DK, and you know what that means: suicide time!

Umm... considering one thing... you do know that you could always do that, right? icon_blink.gif

Thanks Shadsy... I could actually use this. I've been trying to get better with Marth, anyway.

Oh, and in Brawl, other than the final smash, I hope nothing about DK has changed. He's one of my favorite characters.

icon_eek.gif Wow... I think my head asplode.

Most of those I already knew (you're right: the forward b is a must have) but I've never been able to wavedash consistently with Marth. I've been able to do it a lot with Luigi... but not anyone else. The ones that I specifically didn't know, or haven't been able to so, are 1, 4, and 6. Had no idea that fb-ing was better than L-cancelling... I'll have to pick that one up. Tank you! icon_kawaii.gif

Also, the reason I love Marth is because of three things: disjointed hitbox, powerful ground moves, and insane aerial attacks. He's a master of melee (meaning short range, not the game icon_deformed.gif) which is why I dislike Link... he's a jack of all trades, but a master of none. Plus, tipping is awesome, ESPECIALLY with his dair. It knocks them down into the abyss...

New update today. Deoxys is one of the Pokemon in the game. Seems ok, but I kinda wished he was more of a player, so he can fight against Mewtwo and stuff. Oh well. He seems good, anyway. If he's doing Hyper Beam, I'm expecting massive damage (pun not intended) coming from his attack.

I guess this means Lucario still has a chance of being a character in Smash, although that's just wishful thinking coming from me.

I've yet to play against any of my siblings on Smash. I italicize "against" cuz I've played team games with my lil sis, but I've never played it period with my older sibs.

My friend (this was in 6th or 7th grade) was bragging about his skills with Fox, and I always wanted to challenge him (I've always been a Link user), and finally, I got the chance. It was a tough match, and I only managed to barely beat him at the end with a Bob-omb. I'll tell you what, that was worthy of the internet. icon_smile.gif

I hope to have some fun times like that with Brawl, too.

Anyways, to the update: Deoxys? K. The pictures don't have me convinced, but maybe it looks better in action. icon_wink.gif

Deoxys looks like he does what Lugia and Ho-oh did in Melee: Appear, fly up, go into the background, and use the attack. That's the method I can relate to, judging by the screenshots.

Here's one Lucario fan's fantasy movelist.

He seems like a really good candidate for a Pokemon newcomer, IMO.
