Due to my lack of a scanner, I had to resort to taking digital photos of my notebook. It's a high-quality camera though, so 'tis all good. Here's three random drawings I did in school:
random guything with a scythecamel? These are good example of the different drawing styles I deploy. The 'random guy' took the most time to draw. It is made of fine contour lines which give it a really clean look. The second photo, 'thing with a scythe', took the least time. I make drawings very scribbly when I'm just drawing to entertain myself, they don't have very nice shading or detail. The final on is probably my best style. In the 'camel?' drawing, I still used a fair deal of scribbles to make the image, but it's not quite as random. In this, I actually added a decent texture and shading.
I'm a very impatient artist. One thing I don't do well is picking up a drawing to finish it after I had taken a break; if I don't complete something in one sitting, it probably won't get finished. I -do not- use pencil. Ever. All my drawings are in pen from start to finish. If I make a mistake, I either try to hide it or start over.
I'm not obsessed with making my artwork look perfect, so I don't care if you all think it's terrible. Drawing for me is just an enjoyable way to pass time.
