I finished a quest :P Everyone go play Lyrics of Death :)

Downloaded and on my to-do list! I do like the Z2 look at alot of those parts and am excited to play it!

As for me, I've been busy reworking my mountain ranges quite a bit, and making/adding in new sections and tiles... alot of which that I had to recolour...very annoying! But! It is for a better looking overworld, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much... still annoying though :P

There are so many tiles that aren't set up in this tile set... I keep forgetting to look through them and set them up :eyeitus:

Today I finished a script allows the player to travel to places for rupees. See the below screenshot:

Also I've changed the text of the A and B button to Alt and Ctrl in the subscreen. Some friends (who never used ZC before) said it would make more sense, but what do you guys think (as ZC experts :D )?

I say don't have it as Alt & Ctrl and keep it as A and B, mostly beause some people like changing what keys the A and B buttons are assigned to. For instance, my B button is my Z key as I like to have my item rotation the X and the Ctrl keys, as well as it just being easier to have the two action buttons closer together for me.

In other news, I really messed up the arrangement on the first layout of my mountains... Holy crap it is a bloody mess! The first half wasn't too bad, but it is very obvious that I was impatient and rushed this second half, which is now coming back to bite me as I clean them up and add in new parts and sections in order to get the area set up for my second village. It's mostly just one section that isn't working out really, but any changes I make means redoing atleast 7 more screens to make it look right.
Gah, lesson learnt, don't rush areas and plan ahead.

I mapped out maze palace in Excel. Which is an awful program to use for making maps.

Today: I added a lot of new references, fixed some enemies, and made some of my past areas a little better.

Okay, I'll take your advice and change it.

Looking really nice Shane!

As for myself, I decided to temporarily cancel one of my current quests since I'm just unmotivated to continue it and progress has dropped to almost nothing :/ Fortunately, I have enough motivation to continue Hero's Legend 2 which is now my main priority.

worked on and fixed the pathways through my mountains (as I've added in a whole bunch of new caves in the system) so all parts are assessable, as well as there being no broken warps (currently there is no proper cave paths, just warps between entrances until I can set up the caves) I also finished some new screens, and have finally started the second village. this may take me a little bit longer as, unlike the first village that is just being built when Link gets to it, it is a long standing already established village, so I gotta make it look that way, which I don't yet have a vision for... yet. I was also going to have the village transit into level 4, but how I've set up the scenery makes it too out of place to make it a forest-village, so I have to change my plans once again for it. Luckily I can put level 5's entrance there with clues to where level 4 will be, as well as an item you'll need to get to level 4. Or, on second thought, I may let it be open for what dungeon the player wants to tackle first, depending on how I set up the next two dungeons, if you'll need previous dungeon items or not... haven't decided yet, and am open to opinions on the matter.

NTshopscreen.png

Today I installed a shop script in NTCC, where one must press A to buy and B for info (how much it costs and some additional info). It's a lot better than the classic shop system I think. Especially since you can give info about items(so nobody buys something without knowing what it does) and that multiple items can be bought on the same screen.

So yeah, that is a great addition to NTCC. I also made several new screens. I'm on a roll!

Edit: and Limebeer, as you can see I changed the subscreen.

I just submitted a Hero Mode version of my one-dungeon quest (which should be processed shortly). I also plan on making some promotional videos for more of my ZC stuff

As part of my New Year's resolution to actually start making a quest (to completion this time hopefully), I have started making some of the screens for the starting village of the quest (so far, 4 screens are done). While they are nothing to write home about compared to everyone else's screens from their quests, I am pleased with the results nonetheless.

Here's what I got so far in map form (the lack of villagers on the screens is because most are taking cover in the buildings or caves)

I don't know. That map looks a lot better than what most people have done with EZGBZ lately. I say well done.

Picked up on my intro sequence again. Been approving the aesthetics and been adding text.

In addition, I have also been working on another project at a more steady pace. I don't want to reveal too much right now, so consider this just an early teaser.

I'm starting to get a much better idea on how to construct my sixth level. The second floor is just about done!
