Just started playing this quest. I am currently in L1 and have been as far as B2. What do I do with the statue that shoots fireballs at me? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

BTW great work on this quest! What I have seen so far is absolutely amazing!

So I'm kinda wondering, does anyone still have the original Lost Isle file and build? The newest update broke the master dome and I'd kinda like to play the quest how it was originally intended (and by that I mean not at all, I want to challenge the master dome with minimal equipment, something rendered impossible by those 8 way windrobes).
Wow, I feel stupid. I assumed those links in the OP would have all gone down by now. Shouldn't have jumped to conclusions.

The statue is attack, shoot back. And by that I mean you need to shoot it until the enemy inside dies without leaving its line of sight.

Of course he would, you need them to enter the dungeon. icon_razz.gif Shoot the statue and stay in the area where it's eye is open and fires projectiles. Keep shooting. If it closes, the enemy's HP resets.

He's in Level 1, Level 1 requires you to have the bow and arrows before gaining entrance. icon_wink.gif

Oh darn! I totally forgot to go and fix those windrobes...hopefully I can remember what the password to the new Quest file build is so I can change that. If I can't remember, it may take a bit longer while I contact some folks who can help me break into my own quest! XD

While you're at that, could you maybe fix plague fortress? In particular, that room with the button and the time lock door should be easy enough to fix with 2.5's combo cycling fix. There's also a door in the upper left corner that you can walk through when the power is out and get stuck. Also the room where you need to push the warp block around and bomb the warp to get a key, the warp doesn't show up when you bomb the tile. A bit odd. Basically plague fortress is the buggiest dungeon in the whole quest.

I'm a bit leery in touching Petoe's dungeons. He made all of Plague Fortress (excluding the exterior) so I'm not entirely sure how he made everything. I can't guarantee all those bugs will be fixed, but I'll give it a shot and hope I don't break anything. As it is, its still playable and beatable, I've confirmed that.

I don't know if you are attempting to make it compatible with the most recent build, but I tested it in RC5 and there are some secrets in Level 1 that don't stay permanent when they should. I haven't gotten through Level 2 yet, but the quest is at least playable so far.

I'm currently replaying this quest for the first time, with a zero-death, 100% completion figure as my goal. My first playthrough, as well as the first ZC game I'd ever played, was somthing atrocious like 200+ deaths, 40 hours, only about 12 hearts, and that was WITH the occasional help of a guide. So, yeah, this will be quite a leap. But I'm doing well so far, I'm halfway done with the second level and I have a magic shield, the Glathriel Sword, the Mythril mail, the Horgrus boomerang, the Power wand and one bomb upgrade.

I really liked the quest, with only a few very small gripes that don't affect the gameplay experience like weird grammar (you got ocarina! *gets shot* icon_deformed.gif ) underwhelming bosses for the first two levels, etc. I might give it a full review when I complete it again. Peteo, Darkflamewolf, thank you for this king among quests, which, as already stated above was my first ZC quest that I played, but also the one the inspired me to take up Zquesting myself.

Also, happy 2013! icon_biggrin.gif

It's working fine for me. You have to alternate hitting the switch with the sword and arrow to cause the mirrors to rotate. It's kinda tricky to figure out, so that might be why it seems like it's broken.
