Stallions are there; they're just implied. I'd argue that most (if not, all) of the ponies are straight. Think of the time period they parallel: the early 1800s. Gays didn't really exist.

There is so much wrong with this post.

1) If it's the 1800s, explain their bowling alleys, hydro-electric dams and electric turn tables.

2a) "Gay" is not a noun. It's an adjective. Use it like one.

2b) If gay people didn't exist in the 1800s, explain Oscar Wylde.

EDIT: f***, WHY ARE WE EVEN ARGUING ABOUT THIS. THEY'RE COLORFUL TALKING MAGICAL PONIES. Saying it doesn't make sense that they'd be lesbians is like finding a banana that's naturally purple and wondering why it doesn't have a sticker on it.

I'm still trying to fathom why characters' sexuality in My Little Pony is even being discussed.

Because yaoi/yuri fanfics are fun to write.

Please. No.

Also, Yaoi/Yuri assumes everyone is bi/gay. So that's a moot point.

Rule of cool/funny; it's convenient for the plot.

Well, I meant that being gay wasn't even remotely acceptable back then.

^ doesn't know the first thing about the concept of a yaoi/yuri fanfic. Hint: it only needs ONE bi/gay couple in order to be yaoi or yuri.

Also, dude...like...one of the best stories in the entire fandom "Pony Psychology Series" is 75% yuri. Your argument is invalid.

EDIT: You know what. I'm done talking to you.

I'm also bothered by all the people who think Rainbow Dash is a lesbian. For one: there aren't many stallions on camera so it's hard to tell; two: romance doesn't exist on the show (other than Spike/Rarity and Prince Blueblood); three: you're just stereotyping, silly. It really doesn't matter on a show that passes the Bechdel Test with flying colors. (no pun intended)

Twilight Sparkle's mane is the bisexual flag. Octavia is dangerously close to the asexual flag. Pinkie Pie is also dangerously close to the pansexual flag. Lotus and Aloe are the trans* flag. Rainbow Dash is the LGBT(Q) flag.

Dunno if I'm posting this to piss off Beefster or just because I genuinely thought this fic was hilarious. Maybe both.

It's awesome. icon_biggrin.gif

But why is it that non-American shows like having REALLY LONG INTROS? I mean, seriously, most anime has 1-2 minute intros, while American shows tend to keep it under a minute.

The TV edit isn't that long - the version I posted is a special extended version.
