Well. I was not expecting Derpy. She's finally properly canon. My fellow Bronies, this is a day that shall go down in history. Although, I am somewhat disappointed with the voice they gave her, but that's quite the nitpick there.

Pretty good episode, too. Liked the moral.

Opinions on new episode

That episode was brilliant. Not quite sure if it's my new favourite Season 2 episode...I'd say it's a tie between this one and the last. But yeah, amazing episode.

I really was not expecting Derpy to actually become a character. Despite what I have previously said about how Derpy should remain a hard to spot background character, I loved that they actually made her a character. My only compliant is the voice, it sounds too..."mental issues"-y, if you get what I mean. I always thought of her as just being accident-prone and not the brightest bulb in the box.

Has anyone else noticed that the last 2 episodes have had more bathroom-based humor than the previous 38 episodes? Not that it bothers me, it's just something I noticed. It's a little weird.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was kinda surprised to see that joke in there. In fact, when they were on the train, before Pinkie had actually said her line, I was just wondering "What the hell is she doing back there?".

Y'know, now that I think about it, I would actually quite like it if they decided to actually give Derpy mental issues instead of just making her the clumsy, just-a-little-bit-stupid mare I'm sure ALL of us had in our minds. Giving her mental issues opens up all sorts of new opptunities for her character, possibly even giving her a chance at her own episode, with the moral being that someone having mental issues doesn't make them less of a person, or something to that effect. Although, that might be just a little bit too fanservice-y. Also, she kinda reminds me of Lennie from Of Mice And Men. (Great book, BTW, but that's getting off-topic.)

My opinion on todays episode

It was really surprising that they gave Derpy a character (Probably would've been MORE surprising if the freaking top rated comments didn't spoil it -_-)
As for the rest of the episode, it was pretty good (No where near my favorite season 2 episode, that would be Return to Harmony)
