I'm editing all sprites, but here's not the place to go in depth about the sprites themselves.
I'm unfamiliar with blue_knights stuff other than seeing kick ass screens. I don't do scripts; this is all pure 2.5 creativity.

That's nice. Not much else to add. A little bit too green.

It might be the trees in the bottom right. They seem to make the screen a little more closed up than it needs to be.
OBJECTION
Your screen isn't crammed. Those trees, I feel, make the area flow better. Otherwise, it would be an odd, open screen.

It doesn't look cluttered at all. I say it needs more activity as in people.

Why are people so picky on the ground detail? I think it looks perfect. Good design, just the right amount of ground detail, all around please to the eye. Good job.

It's just my opinion.
I prefer the GB set the simple way it was intended to be, that's the pure form of GB. But again IMO.
Yes, it's a cutscene... and yes there is a female that has a crush on Link and yes she is walking up to Link's bed...
...
...to wake him up.
...And let's hope Link's dairy doesn't have anything related to another relationship. *runs*

Now this is the origins of why and how trespassing was a law.

Had to comment here. I love the screen design, with that path coming from the right and an off centered path coming from the top, but the two not intersecting, and the tree, plant, and object placements. It feels good with that environment you're going for there. I'm interested in seeing this or something similar in color, and listening to some well fitting music.
