I added another four games to my PS2 Library (my PS2 backlog keeps on getting bigger and bigger :\ )... anyways the games are-

  • Wild Arms: Alter Code f
  • Wild Arms 5
  • Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly
  • Suikoden Tactics

I keep on adding to my collection as I go along, :P anyways I'm taking a break from earthbound and I'm taking a look at Fatal Frame 2 (This game creeps me the hell out).

Starting to play Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (my first Assassin's Creed game). I've been hearing a lot of great things about this game. As for the series itself, people are telling me to avoid III like the plague.

Yeah... 3 is absolutely terrible. I haven't beaten Black Flag yet, but my so far, I like it, but it doesn't really feel like an Assassin's Creed game. It's more of a pirate game that just happens to have Assassin's Creed elements in it. Which... I dunno, it's a bit frustrating to me, the story especially. But whatever, it's much better than 3. I'd definitely recommend trying the Ezio trilogy (2, Brotherhood, Revelations), which is typically regarded as the high point of the series.

I was thinking of picking that up too on PS3. I couldn't care less about frame rate when it comes to games like this.

Frame rate? Were there frame rate issues for those ones on the PS3? I never ran into anything.

I've been jumping around on games again, been going between Fatal Frame 2, and Wilds Arms 5. (WA 5 is a pretty good game so far).

I was actually referring to the PC version.

I'm finally sinking my teeth into Bravely Default, and I'm really impressed! I tend to favor the older style of rpg's, and so this, much like its predecessor, is very refreshing. I love the way it tells its stories, with optional branches that unlock new jobs and add depth to each area, and every time I think I've seen all it has to offer, it throws out a new surprise. Really enjoying it.

Regarding Assassin's Creed: I'd say those three games are probably the only ones worth playing, though take that with a slight grain of salt since I haven't played IV and I only watched a walkthrough of the first game, but it looked really boring and most fans seem to agree. I actually do like III... but just like it. It had lots of missed potential, bugs, and was generally not as well thought-out or interesting as the Ezio trilogy. Regarding that trilogy, II and Brotherhood are quite unique and really, really fun, while Revelations is kind of just more of the same and nothing else, minus one or two negligible new abilities and some weird unnecessary Tower Defense minigame. But all three are quite enjoyable and worth a play.

PSN has its Golden Week sale. And holy crap, if you like JRPGs, you'll love this sale for sure.

I ended up getting Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Vita for only $8. I was surprised on how well Snake Eater ran on the Vita. Definitely a hell lot better than the 3DS version. The 3DS version had massive FR drops. The Vita version runs at a smooth 30fps with barely any drops. It's amazing to play MGS on a handheld. And another plus is that unlike the PS3 version, the Vita version's load times are super fast.

I'm playing Link's Awakening. Up to Key Cavern, still a good game as always.

I recently found a copy of Tales of symphonia, and I've went ahead and gave it a try and man, it feels out of date when compared to Tales of vesperia. lol.

And also after playing Suikoden Tactics for awhile I can say that this game is a meh kinda of game not good but not bad. Its kinda odd and meh.

Doing some fun grinding in Bravely Default. Man, I really love grinding on enemies who call reinforcements. Edea is like a goddess as a Valkyrie.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne (Lucifer's Call if you're in the UK or the EU), was released on PSN today.  For only $10, I greatly recommend it (been trying to find an actual disc for a while.)

Just beat Terranigma for the first time in a long time. I remember when I beat this at 16 the ending and story seriously got to me, no other game had done this to me in such a way.

Safe to say this is in my top 3 favorite games, anyone else played it?
