What did you accomplish in ZC today?

I hope this is a sign that I'm really getting out of my ZC slump for real.

 

I finally wrote that Tier-3 Air spell that Solaris has been missing all this time: Lightning Spear. It didn't use any of my previous ideas for the slot, but it's still cool. Basically, it shoots a beam of lightning that constantly damages enemies for as long as you hold it down and don't get hurt and don't run out of magic.

 

I then took a fairly-useful spell (Inferno; basically a faster Din's Fire), and made it more useful by increasing its range and power as you get more damaged.

 

Then I took a totally-useless spell (Shockwave; takes time to charge and only stuns enemies) and made it useful by adding damage capability.

 

So close to a demo...

That's great to see Solaris is still alive and kicking.

 

As for myself, I think after work tomorrow, I'm going to make a video to show what changes I have made to AQII since the demo. Re-listening to ZCast when I was interviewed reminded me of how much I've gone into silence about it. Glad to see some people like my awful idea of Bubbles that can lock both buttons at once :P

Here's my sprite for the Bubbles I made that disable both buttons:

So would anyone like to help me come up with a good name for these horrible creations? Also, the room above was only made as a test room. Also, that weird thing by Link is the axe's swing animation.

I'm referring to the Legend of Zelda ROM Hack called Legend of Link. I should have been more clear. It's made by Infidelity and it's an overhaul of the original Zelda, only it wasn't really coded the best, causing a lot of slowdown issues. Still, for what it's worth, it's a decent game, but compared to what we can do with Zelda Classic, it leaves to be desired.

@RedmageAdam How about "Double-Jinx Bubbles"? Or "Death Bubbles"? I'm pretty terrible with names, but that's all I got right now XD

 

@ZeldaPlayer It sadly isn't from a quest, even though it does have the same name as my first quest :P

 

@Spamcakes Are you recreating Easter Island on Firebird? On a serious note, that looks really nice! Great job with that map!

Upon examining my quest, I have learned that there have been very many open corners in my maps. Today, I made sure just about every corner was filled. I gotta say, doing this alone makes my maps look much better.

I have completed about half of the first floor of the third level in my quest. It is a different design style than my previous levels, which is quite... annoying to work with. Atleast for this floor. The bottom floor won't be like this (I hope). But yeah, major work was done. Annoying, annoying work...
