I am not sure what exactly to fix. All those look like Room State Carryovers. And I'm looking in the Screen Data for each and ALL are set up correctly. So I am not sure what I should be looking for here to fix or if I simply need to reset them or how I'd go about doing that and the 2.5 developers aren't actually helping out either. I may have to re-upload the Lost Isle Build to ZC since it seems clear 2.5 breaks Lost Isle completely. I haven't fully finished testing Origin, but it seems Origin 'will' be able to make the conversion flawlessly minus that key bug I already fixed.

The bug specifically affects cases where the screen state carries over to the same screen on the previous map. It's fixed for the next release. You can work around it in RC3 by using a third screen; make the secrets carry over to a screen that's currently unused and have that screen's state carry over to the intended target.

Hm could you try to work that around with what Saffith suggested , or we wait

Well I'm trying to understand what he's saying....but I sort of get it. Set the current screen state carryover to some random screen that has never been touched nor the players will EVER see, and then have THAT screen state carryover directed to the PROPER screen it should have affected. I'm going to try that, and reupload it. It might be 1-2 weeks before an update happens where its available on PureZC for testers to redownload and keep going though... icon_unsettled.gif

Since everyone is testing through Lost Isle, I'll go and play through Origin and double check that one. All....three........quests.....

Of course I'm going to take my stuff from Quest 3(except Magic Key). I don't have much grinding energy left, been using it all on Minecraft...

ach, I haven't gotten around to fixing this, that and the Witcher 2 has taken up all my free time. Its so damn absorbing! But I promise this weekend, I'll do that little work around Saffith mentioned, re-upload and hopefully one of the admins can repost the update this very weekend. If not, God knows how long it'll be before the updated download will appear.

Hey Peteo. There you are! We were wondering if you were going to show. Having fun with your game (that is until a slight, hopefully fixable problem)......we are waiting. Great dungeons by the way, you are spoiling us.

Hey thanks Mister Snooze! My dungeon designs are very complex but I'm happy reading this topic and noticing that most like the challenge.


During the last few days I've been watching some Lost Isle Let's Plays on Youtube. It's fun seeing how people play the game and what they think of it. I've lived my life for almost 5 years now without even touching ZC and my head is filled with all kinds of game ideas. But even if we had a new cool ZC version that actually worked, I doubt I would have the time to build another quest as I've gotten myself into all kinds of other stuff. Still, game designing is one of my biggest passions and hopefully some day I'll be able to get a game released somewhere, somehow.


Anyhoo, wish I could do something to help here but we'll just have to wait for Wolfie to have the time to fix the issues with the quest. Wolfie honey, hopefully life is treating you well. You seem to be retired from ZC as well, but I wonder are you making games on other platforms?

Peteo, I have to agree that your dungeons are quite amazing. The floating garden dungeon is the most wonderful concept I have seen in a RPG thus far and you've executed it so very nice.
I have never actually played LI myself. I'm too much a casual gamer to get even past level 1. I've watched DFW's whole LP some months ago, though.
