Pretty sure it doesn't. I even checked Serebii and it doesn't say it has. This is pretty much something me and a lot of other people have grown acostumed to. Gamefreak loves to remove features between generations to try to make the older gen more unique (which is complete bullshit), basically saying for you to buy the previous games if you want that feature. This has been happening since Gen 3.

Yeah I looked it up more and still couldn't find anything. It's a shame as I think that was one of the best features in OR/AS. Though I loved the new method of flying introduced in it, and certainly enjoy the expanded ability to ride Pokémon in Sun and Moon.

Usually, the difference between Pokemon versions is subtle, but in this case the differences are literally night and d- *shot*

Wonder Trade is still full of Pokemon from the first couple routes.  I dunno what I expected, to be honest.  I'll have to wait until the PokeBank comes out before people put out decent stuff, or hacked stuff you'd get banned in tournaments for using.  That too.

So i just read that apparently Gamefreak upped the difficulty in these games. Is it true? Please let it be true, the series has been piss easy from Gen 1 to Gen 6, i just want a decent challenge without having to gimp myself.

Some parts might arguably be more difficult. You can have enemies gang up on you for instance.

 

My Kadabra didn't learn Confusion when it evolved (from Abra), does anyone know why?

So I'm about 11 hours in. My thoughts? It's definitely making it's way up there, with it potentially beating out FireRed for me. This just might be my favorite Pokemon game.

Because Gamefreak screwed over Kadabra. He doesn't learn an attacking move until level 21 now for some odd reason.

Anyways, I'm really liking the game so far, slow start aside. I wish it had some features it removed from gen 6, but the new progression and new features (especially Totem Battles) are a welcome change of pace. I have some big-ish complaints, but overall, I'm having fun.

How often do the Island Scans result in a new species? I've got Cyndaquil twice in a row.

I just read that some regular trainers and Totem battles actually use strategy instead of just mindlessly use dumb moves. And as much as i hate the Gen 5 leveling system, it apparently helps with not overleveling with the Exp. Share too much like in Gen 6 because you get less exp the more overleveled you are. Even though i never used the Exp. Share during the story in Gen 6 because i never use leveling items besides Lucky Egg. And even then i hardly use it.

 

 

I was honestly considering skipping this gen, but i might get it afterall. But not in full price.

I just ordered Sun today and I won't open the box until Friday. I don't want to sit in a corner all of Thanksgiving and ignore my family.

I'll likely follow this up a few days, after playing, with feelings.

Finished the main storyline, and defeated the Elite 4.

Haven't gotten to the Ultra Beast episode yet.

 

All in all I had a lot of fun with this, but there's one big problem:

 

THE BATTLE TREE

 

Oh my god, why do they automatically throw perfect IV pokemon at you. I thought they would use pre-evo pokemon for the first 10 matches, but nope. They're all evolved (and have mega evolutions, too), the best thing you get is your in-game team, which is probably terribly EV trained. And guess what, you can't even get the right items to EV train without BP! It's really annoying for me to purposely keep losing in the Battle Royal just so that I have enough to buy a power bracelet to EV train my pokemon. 

 

Dare I say, the Battle Tree is more cheap than the Battle Maison from XY / ORAS.

They finally did it and it is glorious.

 

Gonna buy a copy off of Ebay this week or the next. And might as well buy Dragon Quest 7 3DS while i'm at it since i have some considerable disposable income.

It's based on the particular island and the day of the week. Try it either somewhere else or not on Sunday.
 

Anyone know why the Pokemen Refresh icon shakes?

Somebody wants attention. It's not a mandatory thing, but if you want to then go ahead and press the button, and feed/pet/whatever whichever party member pops up.
