[PrinceMSC]

Mystic Land is a quest I started working on in 2002. The quest was going to have 8 unique mini overworlds with 9 dungeon themed around each world. Also Mystic Land was going to have an in-depth story and was going to feature many side quests. But something burned me out on it. Not sure if it was the result of similar looking quests, or something else. All I know is I started to create a mass of custom tiles to separate future quests of mine from other quests.

Anyway, here are some more maps if anyone is interested in looking at them.

This is a small map made with some of my very old WW-ish custom tiles. It’s at this point I’m in the process of making tons of new tiles.

Well, it's technically not ONE map, but this is the current progress on the overworld for Trials of the Gods. I still have to:

Finish the Great Bay area, add the dark forest (it will be connecting the Lost woods maze to the bay), the Light tribe area at the ruins of the old Hyrule Castle Town, and the Earth Tribe in the Underground Kingdom.

 

EDIT: Photobucket ruined the size, maybe this'll be better.

I can't zoom in properly but looks like a well made forest dungeon. Nice layout.

It looks nice, I like how you transition from inside the tree to outside.

Thanks Lineas, I like yours as well, But if i could make one suggestion, I would say to fill in the open areas more. Other than that i would say it looks pretty good

Well, yeah, I mean, the desert isn't finished yet, there's going to be a whole town (Well, as much of a whole town as one can make with less than 4 screens to work with) in the middle of it, and I might add some cacti and stuff, but other than that, I mean it's a desert. It's SUPPOSED to be barren and empty (especially the 48-screen maze that's basically a blatant ripoff of the haunted wastes in OoT), and the Great Bay still has quite a bit to be added, although detail will probably be pretty lacking there, in general. The dark tiles are "deep water" that Link can't swim in, even with flippers (just unwalkable, lol, although I DID think about making it just recolored lava, but it was a bit glitchy when I was swimming and touched it on a screen that had no land (i.e. Link would be standing on top of the water until he was moved), so, most all travel in that area will be via raft.
