@David: Oh Dissidea 012 I was wondering Is that game any count?
It's pretty fun. Play the original Dissidea first, though, it helps.

Dissidia is one of those FF fighting games, right?

I ran a review of it waaay back when. I thought it was one of the worst games I had ever played, though not because I don't like FF to begin with, but because the game mechanics were just outright horrible icon_shrug.gif

Were you playing it in RPG mode?

If so, I can understand that reaction, because RPG mode in Dissidea was truly awful. But (to me) the standard mode was extremely comfortable and easy to use. I was able to pick up the flow of the controls fairly quickly, which is unusual for me as I tend to be awful at fighter games.

I reviewed it, so I tried all modes out. I only played for like, an hour tops though, because it sucked so bad. I think I gave it a 3 of 10, but don't quote me on that.

Really though, I have zero interest in any of the characters or settings, and the games that tie into it (Kingdom Hearts, FF and so on). I was a really bad person to review it of course, but I'm not the one who assigned the game to me (and yes, I did ask not to review it, believe you me icon_razz.gif).

I play MarioStrikers for Wii, online and RollerCoasterTycoon3+patches. I am playing these games, like, all the time, and they slow down my work on my quest icon_wink.gif
I am really good at Mariostrikers, and my RCT3 park looks great!

Assassin's Creed Revelations!

Yup. It's a review-copy, on a disk which we in the industry call 'debug disks'. These can only be played on a so-called 'debug console', so I had to get into town, pick up the debug console then tug it all the way back home, just to play this game (and playing this game will keep me from putting that brand-new early copy of Battlefield 3 into my own 360. Damnit!)

As for the game itself, so far it's pretty fun. Typical Assassin's Creed gameplay, not a whole lot of changes besides a few new items and so on (like always). Not impressed, but I am still enjoying the experience (I do love the franchise, it's just that I think it may be time to freshen it up a little).

For example, the 'eagle jumps' you can preform are awesome, but since the first title, all you do to perform them is to jump off a cliff and hope there's a haystack somewhere below, then you'll just ride the air down into it, safe and sound. What if, instead, you had to jump out, and while in the air you actually had to 'aim' Ezio down towards the haystack, and land him in it correctly? That would instantly make that 'feature' an actual mechanic, rather than be 'jump off cliff and start pre-recorded jump scene'. When we're at the fourth game in a franchise, and everything still looks and plays pretty much like the first one, I think it's okay for a reviewer to be a bit skeptical about these things icon_shrug.gif

Also, yes, Call of Duty does this all the time. The thing though, at least with members here on Pure, most people seem to think CoD and Activision are the only people doing this with games... that is not true, Assassin's Creen most certainly does as well... the only difference being that the AC-games are usually more fun for the kind of audience that makes up the majority of our members (compared to CoD).

Anyway, will update once I've decided on a rating. Anyone who wants spoilers (apparently, every big secret is being revealed this time around, hence the title of the game), can ask me anything through PM's and I'll try to answer correctly icon_smile.gif

Finished Professor Layton and the Last Specter. The big complaint is the game's story isn't really a prequel. It just as easily could have come after Unwound Future and not a single line of text in the game would have to be changed for it. Honestly the entire "Luke and the Professor's first adventure together" feels like it was just something put in at the last minute after the rest of the story was already written to appeal to Shota-lovers.

I'm currently replaying The World Ends With You. It's kinda cool that I've been replaying it without having to start a new game, thanks to level/difficulty adjustment.

Methinks it's time to update this list.

Zelda: Wind Waker I've become helplessly addicted recently. Currently on the Earth Temple, with two shards of the Triforce and four Triforce charts. I forgot how awesome this game is.

Boktai I'm surprised this game's never been brought up here, honestly. Picture Zelda meets Metal Gear meets Castlevania. You go through very Zelda-esque dungeons, fighting Zelda-esque bosses, but with a few interesting twists. Rather than focus on combat, it focus on stealth, with combat being a more "last resort" measure, due to the limited amount of energy your weapon (the solar gun) can hold. And when you beat a boss, you have to drag it's soul (in the form of a coffin) back outside the dungeon to purify it in a second minigame-ish boss battle outside. It's really fun. Really, really fun.

Assassin's Creed II I had to skip the first one because I couldn't find a single dang copy of it anywhere, but from what I hear the second's better anyways. Loving it so far, especially how deeply intertwined it is to history (I love history). But since Robin brought it up, I do want to mention something about the series. It has potential to make games anywhere in any time zone, and yet it's only explored two characters, Altair and Ezio. I want more. Give us games all across history, not just the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Please.

Ghost Trick Slowly but surely, I'm chipping away at it. Very slowly.

Megaman 10 I'm on Wily's Castle/Fortress/WHATEVER, and it's hard. But then again, what Megaman game isn't?

And I'm planning on getting Professor Layton and the Last Specter, because I love the series, and I definitely can't pass up another entry in it. But I can't find the time to buy it. And with Sonic Generations, Mario 3D Land, and Skyward Sword all coming out next month, I'm afraid it might be a while before I can get my hands on it. icon_frown.gif
