Did this have anything to do with the fact that the camera went all wonky when you used it, it was very hard to aim, and it flew really slowly compared to the other long-range items?
A fast-moving, easy-to-aim boomerang that homes in on enemies like in WW and TP could be extremely useful.
That could be it, but even in WW and TP, I found myself almost never using any sort of boomerang. I love them in the 2D games, but I just don't use them a lot in the 3D ones since I don't find them as useful. At least, not for me.

don't think they'd change only a few dungeons, if any. I would like a Light Temple and Wind Temple though. Even if they were optional, I'd be nice to have something new like that.
Just saying, but the Wind Temple was well into development before it was scrapped. Why do you think the Forest Medallion has a picture of a whirlwind on it? Why would it be implied that the Forest Medallion would originally function as Farore's Wind? Why are there giant fans in the Shadow Temple? Why is the hookshot (ya know, a major item) found in Dampe's grave? Why is Saria's section of Ganon't Tower wind themed?
Here's hoping for a bonus Wind Temple.

Sir Evan, I like your logical thinking. Never thought of that till now, but now that I have I want a Wind Temple more than ever.

...And yet he runs around in white tights and hoop earrings. This logic does not work!
Then you are missing out! The boomerang is extremely useful in WW (even powerful in some situations), and it's still pretty handy in TP.
While this is a theory rather than a fact, it does make some sense. We can't necessarily assume they transplanted completed areas into those temples, but they could have at least created the Wind Temple elements and moved them to other temples.
There's nothing odd about using wind in forest-themed areas, though. As for the Forest Temple, I always suspected they had a haunted dungeon that was repurposed as the Forest Temple. Why? I'm not going to speculate about that, as I'm working with not enough information.
Anyway, it's extremely easy to put a few fans into a level. Those are small elements. It's quite different from creating a whole sky dungeon like City in the Sky. It might have been a difficult task for the N64, graphically speaking.
Also, it's not a huge leap of logic to assume that Majora's Mask received some unused dungeon content from OoT.
As for the Forest Medallion, remember that the Medallions were originally intended to be usable as spells, much like the medallions in LttP. The vortex emblem most likely resembled the spell it could cast. Or, alternately, it represented the twisted hallways in parts of the Forest Temple, among other things.

I would say it the other way around. The stereoscopic 3D is the extra. It's the OoT remake I'm after. At least that's my personal opinion.
And yes, the word that describes the 3D effect used in theaters and on the 3DS is "stereoscopic." 3D glasses are merely one way of achieving the effect. Or two ways, seeing as there has been more than one kind of 3D glasses...
(And just as a further FYI, the audio term "stereo" is actually short for "stereoscopic sound.")
I have chronic double vision (corrected with glasses) and I don't think "blurry" is the word you're looking for. There isn't a good word for it that I know, so perhaps "overlapping" would be the best description. Blurriness, on the other hand, is a result of farsightedness and nearsightedness, where your eyes don't focus correctly (much like a camera with manual focus).
Anyway, this is conjecture, but if you took filmed a 3DS with a camera of any sort, it probably wouldn't show up as "double vision," because a camera effectively only has one "eye." Double vision is what happens when your eyes see two drastically different images because they're "aimed" in different directions. So if you look at a 3D screen on the 3DS with only one "eye," you only see one image, and therefore it can't overlap. (simplified explanation)

That sounds really dumb.
It should just be called Ocarina of Time.
