Get a flash card so you can just get the ROM. I have an M3, so I don't need to worry about that kind of stuff. It's about $40 for one, but it's worth it since you can put any DS game on there for free and play it on your DS.

Hmmm yeah, I'm not one to really appreciate this kind of mentality. I have a lot of friends who do this sort of thing, whether it be getting games or shows or movies for free, to which I say, "wouldn't you rather support the companies so that they can continue making great things?" Because if no one buys the merchandise, you can just say goodbye to it ;P

Anyway... if I don't buy, I'll borrow. In fact, I might borrow first. I'm a little iffy with this game, but that's only because of PH, which was really short (but enjoyable.) Eh... Whatevs. Either way, I'll play.

I end up buying the game if I want the companies to make more of them, I explained it in this post;

I just download the games to try them out and see if I like them, then I go and buy them. It's a great solution to the issue of buying games and not liking them. What I meant was that he could see if it's better then PH and buy it afterwards.

But you are going about it the illegal way. Migokalle suggested to go to the game store and try a small demo since it's legal while pirating the game is not.You are breaking the law. That is just plain disrespectful to the zelda developing company who work hard to bring a great game to the public. Piracy is never good nor is it a good excuse to try it then buy it. I know i'll be pissed off if i made a game for the DS in which i worked hard at to just have some teenagers on the internet playing my game without supporting me or the cash to produce more content to continue what they like.

Go ahead and download the game and put it on your M3. No one is going to find out about it. But just know that if you really love zelda, you would support it instead of stealing it.

The closest video game store from my house is about 30 minutes away, I don't want to have to go there every time I want to try out a game.

You're making a huge deal out of this. I'm not stealing money from them, considering I'm going to buy the game anyways. And also, there's a huge difference between a whole company making a game and one person. For example, the wiiware game World of Goo was made by 2 people. Downloading that for free would be like mugging the creators on the streets.

Just leave me alone guys, I'm sure a lot of you have flash cards too. Doing this does not hurt the company one bit, because I buy the game afterwards. Gosh. You can tell me I'm not a fan of Zelda or whatever other crap you want, but I'm NOT stealing anything.

Yes, do. Because it's totally derailing the thread. Stay on topic, please, like you were already asked?

I'm still thinking this'll be pretty cool to see once it's out. icon_smile.gif I liked PH (minus the Temple of the Ocean King...) quite a bit, and I'm thinking this'll be fun, too. Plus, I'm seldom disappointed, lol. icon_razz.gif I'm really looking forward for a reason to dust-off my DS since I got my PSP. icon_xd.gif (That and Golden Sun, but that's another story.)

Yes, we should hold on tight to the Spirit Tracks before we derail. icon_razz.gif

Anyways, after I got to play through the game, I sadly didn't get to bring it home, cause Nintendo is really scared of it leaking, along with any other information. I must say though, I'm really looking forward to buying it... (or really, I'll get a free copy mailed to me by Nintendo, but I'm really looking forward to it.)

Along with playing through it at least once more, there's a couple of smaller things that I didn't get to check out, due to being short on time...

Oh ya, I forgot about that. I always sort of considered him not to be so much of a puppeteer there, since for the whole game, you still know about Ganon and that he's trying to escape from the Dark World. You just don't know that he actually is Agihmnon.

Well, Agahnim was just one of his minions. He wasn't being controlled exactly, even if he was being misled. But the same was true in Twilight Princess.

Now, I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree about PH's dungeon graphics, and area graphics in general: the block-based map construction is not impressive at all. If Spirit Tracks keeps it, I will be considerably less impressed by its visuals...and also its gameplay, to a certain extent.

I've been thinking it over and I think it'll be pretty awesome. For a Celda style game it looks pretty dark and I think even if it is a mini-adventure it will totally redeem Phantom Hourglass (which I didn't think was that bad but I'll admit it wasn't the greatest).

I mean think about it; Zelda has been kidnapped, driven into hiding, put to sleep, turned to stone, dropped by large birds from staggering heights, and posessed by Ganon, but NOT ONCE has she been dead or in a death-like state as we see here. Think about it. Her soul has separated from her body. She appears to people a spirit. As a spirit she IS TRANSPARENT AND HAS THE ABILITY TO FLY. That's what I'd call dead, even if you argue that it's not.

This game would be far better if it all took place IN a train, each car a different world, and the final boss fight would be an epic fight on the roofs while dodging the occasional tunnel/trying not to fall off.

Agreed. But you can't have everything.

I do agree with PB though, this looks really good, and dark. I like dark stories (like MM), so hopefully this will be at least slightly dark. Although somehow the train makes it some much happier and Celda styled. icon_razz.gif

Hrm. i dunno about this. I really hate parts of phantom hourglass, and the parts that I actualy like had nothing to do with the engine, which means that they arent present in this game. Im going to try the rom when it comes out, if its good, then ill buy it. I support Zelda (I own every single english release of every game, except phantom hourglass, to the extent where I own the CDI games and two cartridges of OoT, and imported quite a few), not bad games. Could be good, could be bad. only time will tell
